Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for taking the time to go through the AFL games and posting their votes.
Think TheJanuaryMan was just about spot on last year so I will be definitely looking for value based on his votes throughout the year.

No votes for Rockliff 35 possession 3 goal game?

Feel that umpires in the past have "subconsciously" avoided votes for players the week after a suspension, and also, the three GC blokes were pretty clearly in the top 3-4 on ground. that said, we know Rocky catches the eye, whether he does in a big loss is the test

Nice work. I find it hard to see anyone outside of Watson, Ablett, SJ, Pendlebury, J.Selwood winning it. Put that with who can win the flag IMO wont came from anyone outside of Hawks, Freo and Geelong. Bombers and Port are next best.

Maybe someone from Port as they could and i think will finish top 4-5. Maybe a guy like Boak who has done well in the past could be a real upset or maybe Sandilands.

I was gonna put early bets on i guys like Rockliff, Fyfe, Hanneberry, Sloane ect - glad i didnt.

Should we just be putting those 4-5 players into the 2-3 teams already?

Agree about those four. The clear top four players in the comp atm and consistently playing like it. Will post my votes later.

So with 3 clear best ons and a pretty clear 2 vote game, surely Stevie J is a good thing to lead after Rd5? $2.75 at Centrebet.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yep came here to say the same thing

Ablett only with 3 possible games to poll in, likely 3 in each but still Stevie J has 2 BOGs locked in. Almost certainly another BOG vs West Coast and a pretty clear 2 vs Adelaide

Also have Selwood only polling 10 max (very unlikely - no idea where the 11 was pulled from above) and 7 min. Most likely 8-9 for mine.

Riewoldt is a lock for 9 (anyone who watched the Melbourne, GWS and Bombers games would know this - clear B.O.G).

Ablett is the danger, should be about 9 but can poll some B.S votes here and there (might sneak one against the Hawks??).

Reckon that $2.75 is great, and worst case you will get your money back if its a draw.

I gave him 3 last week against WC, I gather that's where the difference lies. Against Collingwood and Adelaide I thought he was the clear BOG, and against Brisbane Johnson probably just above him. Definitely 7 at a minimum, but I find it hard to see him not at least polling a couple against the Eagles.

I would be extremely surprised if he polled a vote in a 100 point loss given he was fairly well held despite accumulating 35 touches.

I have Selwood on the same, maxed out at 10 if umpires heavily favoured him and snubbed others. Very unlikely though

Not as confident on Riewoldt polling 3 BOGs. Jones was huge in rd1 and Lenny Hayes was brilliant in the centre last week. I think he will end on 8

If Gazza polls in the Hawks game, then back him in the run on the night because he will probably win by 10 - no way will he poll there. i'm also a massive selwood fan, but cannot see him on more than 8 at present. stevie j on 9, I'm comfortable with.

beams is the one that I think is starting to sneak up there quietly also.

Did you watch that game by any chance?
Outside of the stats, Stevie J was awful against us
He should sneak into for 1 or 2, but Selwood and Stokes easily had better games

I'll admit I didn't watch this game and reading through the match report on afl.com.au, he wasn't even mentioned in the bests.

Thanks for this post you just saved me some $$$
