Its amazing how it works we need you

you need us

did you watch the vfl today jones and tutt you need

we need wright

you can still have petracca and tutt and jones and langdon

Nah, didn't watch it. I hear it's a lower level then the AFL but AFL players sometimes play their when they are s**t but do better than the normal folk. Is this true?

Ed Vickers-Willis would be a tasty 2nd round pick. 190cm half back/mid that can also play tall (U18 AA full back).

We have about 20 players who dominate in the red, white and blue of Casey. Take away the white and they s**t the bed. Two more players like that is the one thing we don't need

Yeah, nah.

This is what Paige Cardona says about Brayshaw in her phantom draft.

Make no mistake about it, Angus Brayshaw is adored by Paul Roos. Should the Demons hold onto their first round pick, you can put the house on the Demons selecting Brayshaw – the son of Mark and nephew of James – with their very first selection. Brayshaw has his fans because what you see is what you get: he is a serious footballer who is professional in every aspect of his game. Brayshaw is a diligent trainer and preparer, and leaves no stone unturned in ensuring he ticks boxes in his recovery. From a footballing aspect, Brayshaw is tough and courageous, dominating clearances and wins his own ball. He can move forward to kick goals, and when he isn’t doing that, he’s setting them up or inspiring his teammates with acts of desperation. Despite being largely inside, Brayshaw rates in the upper echelon in metres gained, loving to take the game on by backing himself to break lines and fend off opponents. Likely to feature in a club’s leadership group within three years, the All Australian, AFL-AIS member and Dragons skipper will automatically improve Melbourne’s list alongside some very promising kids on Melbourne’s books.

Sounds promising, I like the fact that he is a hard inside ball winner that can go out and break lines, something we are desperate for.

Sounds like a physically larger version of Viney, who can also kick longer a distance, with those two we could be set up for hard at it inside mids for 10 years. Could also cover for not taking Wines.

Jon Ralph has said this afternoon on 1116 SEN that St Kilda will draft Christian Petracca, with their first selection and look to trade into the teens and draft another big bodied midfielder. Oh well Brayshaw will turn out better :D

Once we are confident on this, it wouldn't surprise me if we trade both our top picks.

GWS might also look to trade down unfortunately.

If this is true you'd think we'd be especially keen to trade P2 or P3. No point in drafting both McCartin and Brayshaw. Petracca and Brayshaw would be worthwhile, but not this.

If that's true then pick 2 will now have a lot of currency for the best tall in the draft and we can nab Brayshaw with pick 3.

Or we can trade 3 and keep 2 for Brayshaw... Either or

I know Petracca and Brayshaw would be a dream come true. But come on Brayshaw and McCartin would still be worth it. Plus no guarantee we would be able to get a trade done.
I'm just eh on McCartin. We have Hogan to worry about developing, and we need midfielders who can come in and make an instant impact like Tyson.

We just lost our best forward, we still need to replace him.

Brayshaw and McCartin/Wright would also be worth it.

Brayshaw is the most complete midfielder in the draft. Has a left and right foot and is a contested ball winning machine. Given where we're at, I almost think we have a greater need for him that Petracca. Petracca reminds me of a poor mans Dangerfield.

For mine take Brayshaw and the best KPP in the draft and then next year offer Dangerfield 8 mil over 6, front loaded.

2016 midfield of:
Jones, Dangerfield, Brayshaw, Tyson, Viney, Salem, Toumpas and Trengove

Kicking to McCartin, Hogan and Dawes.
