I think there is a good correlation with the best agility test performers going on to have good afl careers. Is this correct?Dan Rioli the leader in the repeat sprints testing at the moment ran a 24.16s followed by Tom Glen who ran a 24.46s
Alex Morgan ran a 2.88 in the 20m sprint
Kieren Lovell ran a 7.90 in the agility test
I wouldn't pay much attention to the skills testing, the recruiters don't look into it much.
Agree King would suit our style. He looked ok what I saw of him, Nyoun beat him easily in one of the games I saw though. He's not great at the hitouts but Beveridge doesn't really rate that anyway.
Where are you getting the results from?He reminds me of Jordan Roughead in a way.

geeze Collins is slow *cough*I was at the combine today, unfortunately couldn't get close enough to Dalrymple for some eavesdropping but here are a few of the 20m sprint times for players we might be interested in:
Harry McKay 3.11s
Ben McKay 3.10s
Kieren Collins 3.09s
Nick Coughlan 3.10s
Charlie Curnow 3.15s
I don't have the numbers for the running vertical jump but from what I could see Chol, Nyoun and Weitering stood out.
Interesting there with Parish, what is considered average speed for the 20m sprint?Twitter I'm guessing. These are some of the names I've come across
20m sprints
Ryan Burton 3.10s
Alex Morgan 2.88s
Jacob Weitering 3.04s
Daniel Rioli 2.89s
Luke Partington 2.96s
Repeat Sprints
Darcy Parish 25.36
Daniel Rioli 24.16
Tom Glen 24.46
Liam Jeffs 24.74
Kurt Mutimer 24.82
David Cuningham 24.51
Agility
Kieren Lovell 7.90
Yes Burton tested. Looked ok, especially given that he is coming back from a very serious injury.Did that say ryan burton? Is he testing?

Another thing that is easier to notice in person than from watching videos is the frame and build of these kids. The McKay brothers were pretty big units, especially Ben, and they still have room to fill out. Collins too is already a beast but has the frame to develop even more.
Most interesting was Schache. Whilst he is tall like Boyd, he is significantly narrower across the shoulders. He'll put on muscle but I don't think he has the frame to ever get as strong as a guy like Boyd.
Unfortunately I missed his turn to do the 20m sprint because I was about an hour late. He was sitting right in front of me with a group of other guys that I missed out on seeing. This included Parish, Hopper and Skinner who I was quite keen to have a look at.How did Schache test? His straight line speed doesn't look that appealing out on the field
3.1 is quite hot for a kpf, surely this dispels some of the fears that he can't get back to playing a high level of footy. If he can reach his pre injury athleticism he will be top 5 quality one again.Yes Burton tested. Looked ok, especially given that he is coming back from a very serious injury.

Jok got 3 flat for his fastest. I saw Allen but didn't record his times.Did you catch Matt Allen, Jesse Glass-McCasker and/or Thomas Jok's sprints?

I'm not a huge fan of this idea, I think a Ruckman who can hold their own can provide momentum swings off their own hand. It is still a specialist position even though it has become harder.Wonder if we could get both of the McKay twins. Just have a team with no dedicated Ruck and a bunch of 200cm KPP taking turns covering the ruck across the game.
No dramas, it sounds like the big boys this year have a bit of acceleration which is nice. Disappointing repeat sprint from parish imo for someone rated so highly he should be higher up.Sorry I just read your post again, I thought you meant repeat sprints not the 20m sprint. The average over 20m in the 2013 combine was 3.09s.
Any idea how Blake Hardwick, Ryan Clarke and Mathieson have tested today?Jok got 3 flat for his fastest. I saw Allen but didn't record his times.
I didn't record Glass-McCasker either but I do remember him being impressive in both the sprint and the vertical jump. I can't remember his exact time but I'm pretty sure it was sub-3 seconds. The person I was with and I both found him to be one of the most impressive athletically.
