2015 NAB Challenge - West Coast v Carlton (Rushton Pk, Mandurah 4.10pm/7pm AEDT)

Did we all just miss footy so much that last night looked so good? Or was this game terrible?
Game was fairly low standard.

Carlton mucked around with it in their back half a fair bit and turned it over on the way out of defence far too often. West Coast weren't firing on all cylinders either, but were clearly the better skilled team.

Tuohy looked good, as did P.Cripps. Armfield looked ridiculous. Clem Smith didn't set the world on fire with only 5 touches from 73% game time. Watson couldn't get a kick in half a game of footy.

Injury to MacKenzie was probably the talking point from the game. Was on crutches watching the second half. LeCras was a class above the rest.

West Coast had 4 of their best 22 out.
Carlton had 13 of their best 22 out.
"Duuuurrr carlol r s**t lmao"

Was anyone actually expecting a close match?

Carlton having thirteen of their best out......

That's not really making a string case that you had much quality out of your side

How did Bob Wiley go in the coaches seat ?

A strong breeze is 10x worse to play in then a wet rainy day, if you were expecting high quality football you're nuts.

Not high quality football, but a lot less basic skill errors. You can't blame errant handballs and an inability to pick the ball up off the ground on the breeze.

We have a lovely piece of cutlery which we're happy to hold for you until the end of the season, Blues. :thumbsu:
Since you won the draft and scored alleged bargains like Goddard, then your midfield of Steven, Armitage and Dunstan is a chance if we rest Gibbs, Judd, Murphy, Thomas, Jamison, Everitt, Carrazzo, Walker, Henderson and Menzel against the Saints.

:thumbsu:

If that's Carlton without our best, then the Bombers game will be worth watching with their top up players .

Place your bets in for Eagles as premiers...

We got this on lock. Who's got the blow? Ready to get stuffed up. Let's party.
Seems like you missed Thursday nights game...haven't you heard? Collingwood already have the flag in the bag! :p

We suck really bad...but have Murphy, Gibbs, Judd, Carrazzo, Kreuzer, Henderson, Walker, Jamison, Thomas, Everitt that's 50% of starting 18 missing.

Anyway. Go Blues.

Gibbs & Murphy, Henderson I will give you. Although Gibbs has had the 1 consistent year in his career. Judd & Carrazzo are finished at the end of the year & wont be there when & if you challenge in years to come. Thomas, Kreuzer, Jamison & walker are all injury prone & may not come back to reach there potential. Everitt is just a plotter.

spot the newbie collingwood troll

I really hope you guys do well in the NAB challenge. If you truly suck again it will probably way down on a few of the players.
From what they've been saying we'll be putting our best foot forward and not treating it like a joke (ala Hawthorn and other successful teams).

The 100+ point loss against Hawthorn in last year's final practice match completely sucked the life out of a fragile playing group, destroying whatever confidence we got from that great Richmond win.

I sincerely hope it goes well for you guys. You've been down in the basement for far too long, regardless of the reasons. Hopefully your guys can gain a bit of confidence from the NAB challenge, and carry it into the actual season. If you can improve it's not just good for you guys, but the competition.
