Was surprised he didn't get a look in for a late rookie. Had some solid numbers in the TAC cup. Think it's a nice selection. No, name is Lachie Tardrew.

Talk around that Birchip-Watchem back flanker Dale Hinkley has linked with Collingwood in the @VFL. Won the best and fairest this year.
We seem to be doing a good job signing some young types for our VFL list. I guess players are keen to come to us in the hope of making a name for themselves (it worked nicely with Rupert Wills), but if we don't get a fair few injuries to our AFL list players, most of the VFL list players aren't going to get a game. Thanks - Don't we have enough HBF'S?

Edit: Here's a bit more on Dale Hinkley from Brett Anderson's mock draft:-
82. Dale HINKLEY
Birchip-Watchem | 23/9/95 | Ht: 190 | Wt: 83
“Dale came over from Warracknabel and it was first year at Birchip-Watchem this year. He’s played on the half-back flank, finished up winning our best and fairest for the club. He gives us a lot of drive off half back and reads the ball well, intercepts really well, repels a lot of attacks and gives us a lot of drive. His brother Clayton played 15 games at Freo.“ – Birchip-Watchem president Lachlan Barber
If not him, who else? Lachlan Walker, Jack Firns or another left-field country/local prospect!

That's an excellent point. It's a credit to these young blokes that they're willing to do the hard yards with our VFL side where the seniors will always be the priority, their prospects of game time are low, and the coin is a lot worse.but if we don't get a fair few injuries to our AFL list players, most of the VFL list players aren't going to get a game.
Not bad Height at 190cm.
Agree, us Drafting Wills make the Kids more want to come to us. As we could the Draft/Rookie them IF they Impress
Collingwood drafting Wills isn't the sole reason players want to come to us. If they are picked up for the VFL team, They get bigger VFL exposure through Collingwoods massive fan and media base, teams like Sandy ect don't get exposure like us.
True but that gives it more Selling Point that saying with the Exposure you get at Collingwood that IF you do things Right you can get Drafted/Rookie.
Though the Down thing is that since VFL Side started we only had 2 Players Drafted/Rookied. Tom Couch was Rookied by Dees in 2012 and Wills last year to us in the National Draft
If you were serious about getting drafted you'd be better to go to a club where you have more of a chance of getting lots of playing time.
Moloney should of been rookied by us in my opinionThat's an excellent point. It's a credit to these young blokes that they're willing to do the hard yards with our VFL side where the seniors will always be the priority, their prospects of game time are low, and the coin is a lot worse.
Of course being associated with Collingwood is a big perk but I have to admire the sacrifices our VFL players make. Not just the young blokes but even the established guns like Moloney who has to drive from Geelong to Melbourne 4 times a week in order to play with us.
Hopefully we can get a few more of our blokes drafted (not necessarily to us) cause they definitely deserve it.
Too small.Moloney should of been rookied by us in my opinion
Too small.
And too old too
This suggests he's neither too old (24) or too small (183/88)! Is he good enough should be the only thing in question.

58. Ben Moloney 183cm 88kg 7/2/91 Werribee/Geel West-St Peter's/St Joseph's
Was VFL B&F Winner. So he lacks something. There is a Difference between VFL and AFL
Sam Dwyer was around the same height and age... Its not too late for him.
Sam Dwyer had footskills and pace, Moloney has neither.Sam Dwyer was around the same height and age... Its not too late for him.
We may be seeing another departure or two
Vacancies just opened up at a certain AFL clubWhy say that?
