Toast 2023 recruits

Just want to thumbs up our 2023 recruits that we got from other clubs. In the end they were the difference this year. They all contributed big time this year. McStay was great in the second half of year, to bad about the grand final. Frampton was amazing rounds 2-16? Especially when he played in the ruck. Mitchell was probably our best all round recruit this year, Markov was a burst of energy across half back and Bobby was a finals specialist, but also great throughout the year.

I posted something along these lines at the time when the last transfer period ended, and Mitchell, Hill, McStay and Frampton came in: "we might look back on this transfer period at the end of this season as a stepping stone to a premiership".

Well, here we are, baby. Every one of those guys - plus Oleg - played crucial roles in getting us first the minor premiership, and then the Cup.

Graham Wright you're a genius. Recruiting Hill, Frampton, McStay and Tom Mitchell all paid off with all 3 becoming 2023 Premiership players and Hill winning the Norm Smith less than 12 months since joining us from GWS.

I was mulling over that myself, what a recruiting move. 100% success rate

1. Mitchell - norm smith votes and HUGE with Adams injured
2. Hill - norm smith
3. Markov all year evolving
4. Mcstay 2 goals a game past 7 or 8
5. Frampton hole plugger to the point of plugging his way to a premiership medal

Yeah totally agree. Although we recruited a few extra on top this year.
Ball=Mitchell
Jolly =Frampton (sort of ended up as awesome ruck cover)
L Brown= McStay (didnt ruck as much as Brown)

Markov and Boby were icing.
