“Offensively and def they are just humming at the moment … they could be a team that make a little run.” Statistics show that in the past month, Sydney are ranked 1st in the AFL for scores against per entry inside 50 and 3rd for scores per entry. The Swans are currently sitting in 10th spot on the AFL ladder – just half win outside the top eight.

Usually the Swans do not have a good win record for milestone games but let's assume Sam Day's 150th game gets the publicity over McLean's 50th game

Hayden seemed to dominate the AFL website on Thursday

I’m so happy Stephens finally gets a game. I obviously don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, but I think he’s been treated more harshly than he deserves. Should have played a lot more this season.

I'm bracing for another midfield belting. I think it's why I find this iteration of the Swans so stressful as opposed to the 2012-2017 Swans. Back then you knew that pretty much every week, JPK, Hanners & co would get the game on our terms from the middle. The stresses back then were like will we be too Buddy-centric or will we have the pace to go with this side etc.

This Swans team it's just "is our midfield gonna concede 45 million inside 50s today" and then every time we get a goal, being instantly stressed rather than happy cause it means going back to the centre. Rinse and repeat. Constant stress!
