Did not expect that going into HT after being dominated in the 2nd quarter.

3rd and 4th quarter was a big statement i feel leading with the way with Grundy, Heeney and Gulden Blakey had a much better 2nd half as well after turning it over repeatedly in the 2nd.

When we get the game on our terms and the opposition cant apply enough pressure we absolutely carve teams up through the middle.

Question mark still on the side is facing a team that can apply sustained pressure for 4 quarters but cant complain with 5-1.

Great opening qtr. Second qtr was a massive worry as Gold Coast worked their way back into it.

But who was the player that stood up and turned the tide back in our favour early in the second half? Who was the player that grabbed the bull by the horns and inspired our team onwards? Will Hayward, that's who. An uncompromisingly fierce tackle on Collins who threatened to thrust Gold Coast forward into another dangerous attack out of the back half before Hayward stepped in. Will took his moment and slotted truely and rejuvinated our side with belief. Take a bow.

Tough. Resilient. Unbreakble.

Put that contract offer in front of him Sydney, and make Wilba a Swan for life.

Hayward! the much maligned Swan i agree that was pivotal heading into HT with a lead.

Fantastic win.

However …
Our kryptonite is external pressure. We fumble around when the opposition gets on top. It’s almost like we are thinking about what to do rather than letting our instincts drive the play.

Great win against a somewhat bogey side

Flexed in the second half when we needed to

We need Rowy to be as dominant when the game starts as when it ends. Need better time management so hes always a beast in the mid and not drop off

Really solid win. Apart from the second quarter lull, we held up really well defensively. Out did them with our ball movement and our turnover game was very damaging. A typical swans type of win really.

Roberts was again fantastic with his high levels of composure. Grundy BOG for sure, follow up work and pressure was outstanding. Heeney great again and loved Adams first quarter. Blakey's vertical leap is something special, paps better today too. Hoping this win gives us the momentum for the next month, gotta take the 4 points.

What's that traitor Anthony Rocca doing hanging around in the change rooms?
