Yup will be tough scrap both teams have recruited well , rectified deficiencies but reckon Swans will brings home the 4 points given home ground advantage, this will be a very close encounter.

swans quality more developed than ours, plus when do we ever win at the SCG.

Rowbottom generally does a job on Merrett
durham will probably go to Gulden to try negate him a bit.
Hope to see perkins v heeney as a midfield match up.

sydney's transition game will be too much imo.

Ouch.. just ouch. If we couldn't stop Hawthorn running the ball easily from their defence, it's hard to see us stopping the Swans doing so. And they are likely to punish us whereas the Hawks let us off by missing gettable shots on goal. We were very effective at scoring from centre clearances last week, doubt Sydney will let it out of the middle as easily.

This iteration of the Swans has never been able to easily win against teams that they should win against and plays to the level of their opposition

No evidence to suggest that this has changed this year

No Parish, no Redman, no Ridley, no Reid, and now no Guelfi who was near BOG against Hawthorn.

Anyone who thinks this won't be a comfortable win Sydney's way is crazy.
7 of the last 8 games between us have been decided by 10 points or less. The games between us always find a way to be close.... I really hate playing Essendon. Heart attack territory

Swans and GWS looking good this year. Both teams have elite talent across every line.
Can see Essendon keeping it close but I like Papley and Heeney to kick 8 between them and Swans winning by 3 goals.

Pride comes before the fall but, the way my Swannies are looking right now, I'd expect a six goal win.

Both teams missing a few., Swans in the mids and Dons in defence.

These games are always odd. Likely to be wet which does not suit the Swans.

From my vantage point on the goal post, Bloods by 38 points

like it suits us any better?

Have you seen Essendon on the wet?

No Parker, no Mills, no Adams - Dons will romp it in.

Our backline is being held together by duct tape though. Ridley Reid Redman all out.

Any time Laverde gets a call up you know it is dire.

Think swans still have a 4-6 goal win.

Essendon media hacks Watson, Slobbo et al loading up on Bombers after their “transformative” and “edgy” win against likely bottom 4 Hawks. Swannies will put ‘em to the sword and at least temporarily halt Bombers charge to the 2024 flag.
