Is it worth picking up Nigel Lappin this week?

I was looking at his averages since 01 (95 98 100 100 and 88)

I had him in my team at the start of the year but decided against it because of his injuries

Proven DT Gun but can his stay on the track?

This is what I'm wrestling with also.
I'm thinking about dropping one of my midfielders and picking up Lappin to free up cash for an upgrade. Which of these mids would be the best to offload for Nigel?

Corey $366k Black $326k Hase $333k Hodge $335 Foley $282k
P. Burg $318k

I'm thinking Haselbey because he is pretty high in price, has just had a shocker, is set to fall in $$$ and the jury is still out on whether he is still a gun. Hodge would be my second pick.

Centres: Judd, Kerr, West, Hodge, Kirk and Cassisi (emerg; J. Selwood and Armitage)

Rucks: Cox and Hudson (emerg; Hudson and Sellar)

Now for my dilemma i have $13,500 in the bank and 14 trades left, but i am thinking of downgrading Cassisi (who is 285,000) to Petterd freeing up about $400,000 and then getting Heath Shaw or McPhee into my team for Richards or Glass or one of those hacks. Then in lieu of playing Cassisi i can start Petterd of J. Selwood on the ground.

What are your thoughts? I am thinking of the Cassisi trade for Petterd but not totally sure of who to get with my excess ~$400,000? I hate Jared Brennan too so was thinking of getting Chapman for him?

Any advice would be helpful as this is my first year of DT and am learning quickly.

i meant i have a player on the bench. have a feeling embers might not play

edit. i will dumb it down for you, i rather have embely scoring 0 this week then having bock play and drop in value as it will be too late to trade him to a gun forward. understand? or do i have to dumb it down more

i'd go for simmonds before lade, if brogans playing well lade wont score all that well and you may be able to pick simmonds up for around 250k
