I’d be happy with the opening round being done in different states each year. So next year in SA then WA. I’d also be stoked if it was non Victorian sides competing every time. If you’re keeping the GF at the G then giving the non Victorian sides an extra week is a no brainer.

Northern clubs need a good back to back contender. That way you’re getting real interest in the club. It might be GWS actually, or Sydney. Luckily for them there’s not that many Victorian clubs looking ominous bar Carlton for the next 2 years. Collingwood may drop away.
