Toast Andrew Gaff - 250 Games

Gaff's a pro, he knew full well that he was getting dropped. His facial expression on the bench in Q4 suggested he was pretty dirty on himself.

Rd1 games away are always tough if the it was a home game Gaff probably plays better and things just carry on playing to Rd2 ..

Gaff and Darling came in and tore up the competition in their rookie year, lifted the whole level of the club tbh. Sadly they've gotten older and can't compete at the top level anymore. That's the world of footy. Good luck to em with their futures, hopefully they're good role models for the younger fellas around the club but they seem to both be pretty quiet guys.

Yep, these two were absolutely massive in 2011. Completely regenerated the side. We haven’t seen anything like that from our first year players since then.

I think the biggest disappointment is that he lost his quality in disposing by foot. I swear he used to be a good kick (short distances).

Was a star as far as wingers go, arguably could have had another AA thrown in as well.

Hopefully finds some form just in case of injury and he needs to play again, which unfortunately is probably likely for the Eagles. He is durable at least.

Both years are good reminders that things can turn around quickly.

Both years we had an established core of senior players and just added in players who could play a role while they developed.

It was a bit of a re-stump not a rebuild.

Very different to the situation we are in now.
