Sounds like drug related issues due to longterm mental health problems given she'd been abused by a number of people throughout her life.

Strange or erratic behaviour perhaps drugs or mental health problems eg PS.
Ambulance she appears to have burns on her back. If she was drugged or PS it would explain the attempt to escape. Eg she thought she was being abducted by aliens. Being able to move freely at that moment doesn't distract from sepsis from burn infections later nor a deterioration in drug episode. Struggle to see this as a mystery at all
