Played with a Injured ankle but i guess if you cross that line you have to perform
Yep, many players were more hampered than is realised. Charlie should have received the utmost respect for his efforts to lead us in to the finals. The entire team lifted to get there, but individually, we would not have made it without his effort as the focal point. The constant questioning of his credentials as a finals player is mischievous and laughable at the same time.

Looking forward, the fact that we made it to the pointy end while chasing our backsides regarding player availability and health should shine like a beacon to supporters and be an ominous beacon for opposition teams.

There will be an overwhelming motivation in the group to lock in finals by the bye, so to speak. No complacency, no glitches to have us chasing our butts to make it. Making it, is making Top 2, to ensure a smooth passage through the finals. No away games, or sudden death before the prelim.

We have spectacular depth and competition for spots in the 23. Many positions have two or three deserving players likely to miss on any given week, they will be rabid to reclaim “their” spots. Expecting very little complacency, cue an early season juggernaut, and thus the luxury at the pointy end of the season to “manage” players when necessary to have them firing in September.

Lions at the Gabba round “zero” will be a tough start, it would be foolhardy to bank in a win leading in, but I am expecting very little action in the L column in 2024.
