Good one C7, head to the news and see what else is happening in the world. Oh the news is all about the Hawks win any way.

They miss the song every sunday, why would the grand final be any different.
 
I think we need to do something.

Boycott all 7 programs, if you want to watch something on 7, download it from Bittorrent.
Next season if 7 are doing your game, do your best to get there.

We need to make it clear that we are unhappy with 7, the only way we can do it is by not watching them. I've just blocked channel 7 on my foxtel and HD tuner.
 
With the exception of missing the song I thought they did an outstanding job.

Bucks and Lethal pre-game analysis was fantastic and the game coverage was also very good, although it helps when the match itself is an absolute cracker.

Se7en haven't done much right this year, but kudos where deserved for the coverage they provided today.

Terrific coverage today.

I have always liked Bruce and Dennis, and I would have to say that Bucks and Matthews would have to be the 2 best special comments specialists around!

However, I still don't rate Olarenshaw and Mr 'goody too shoes' David Schwartz. I dont mind him on SEN however he has a completely different persona on Channel 7. If you listen closely, he says some of the dumbest things sometimes.... herald sun headline material!
 
Great coverage Channel 7!!! Sure they missed the song, but hey-all you ask for is a good coverage of the match. Clean broadcast. Commentators were all in fine form, Ricky O only butchered a few words, camera angles were all pretty good although no need for a helicopter. In all their best coverage of the year and the best coverage of all games this year.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
 
I was surprised at just how well Seven did their grand final coverage, considering the way they completely stuffed up the Beijing Olympics. Sure, missing Hawthorn sing the song in the dressingroom was the only downside, but apart from that it was light years ahead of what they did all season up until now.
 
Fantastic coverage by 7 this year. From AFL Game Day through to the end it was fantastic coverage. Great to hear the legendary Bruce and Dennis call the game, they wipe the floor of Quartermain and Hudson (Quartermain is alright by Hudson is a joke).

Best part was we knew how much time was left in the last quarter - no 5 minute warning. The AFL need to compel 10 to stop doing the 5 minute warning, with the threat of losing the right to cover finals if they don't.
 
How would you guys on BigFooty rate Seven's Grand Final coverage in comparision to the way they did the Beijing Olympics?
 
The GF coverage was great and there wasn't anything over the top or new 'innovative' technology used. Congrats to 7.

I know they missed the song cos the Hawks were waiting for Croad to join and 7 had to go to the news, but at least they showed it during the news coverage.

My only issue? It's only minor but I swear I could hear one of the commentators (Buckley I think?) breathing into their mic during the game at some points. Anyone else hear this too or am I hearing things?? :eek:
 
Good coverage would actually give a lot more attention to what you can't see.....e.g. the extent of Bateman's running and who from Geelong wasn't following him. Which Geelong forwards weren't chasing their backman, which was generating all of Hawthorns run.
 
The coverage was no better than any other delayed telecast of any games by channel 7 for season 2008. Give the rights back to 9 please.

I love the five minute warning. Makes things much more tense.

The Grand Final is al most people care abut in Victoria today. delay the news, catch up by cutting a few ad breaks short and everyones happy.

7 can get fu*ked IMO, they stuffed the gams up, now this lucky or me I've got a MCC membership so I'll just go from now on.
