All 17 clubs call Melbourne, "you interest in trading Clayton Oliver?". Melbourne hangs up on all 17 clubs. Lock thread.

I can confirm that other clubs would be interested in acquiring Clayton Oliver.

played golf at Moonah yesterday and he was in the group just behind us.

He hit a ball up near us on the next tee and we helped him look for it.

Had to laugh though, asked him what he was hitting; as in, what ball are we looking for Tracc, and he replied "er... Driver I think"

:drunk:  :tearsofjoy: :drunk:

There is no feasible reason for Melbourne in a premiership window to let a top 5 player in the comp who is contracted through to 2030 go.

The last time Freo managed to get a contracted superstar from Melbourne, we turned a now two time brownlow medallist into nothing. Their would be some GIGANTIC red flags if this has any legs at all

Would probably cost the largest haul of picks and players in the game
Agreed.

Can't see it happening the cost could only be afforded by two maybe three clubs in terms of picks - would need to be two guaranteed top 5 picks or 1 and WCE F1 to make them think about it.

Or a team is giving up its own star to do it - can't see that happening either.

This makes about as much sense as asking Collingwood what they would accept for Nick Daicos

Disagree. Melbourne played really well this year without Oliver and if this is needed to get a key forward it might be what Melbourne consider.

I wondered how they’d get through a trade period where Todd Goldstein is the big fish.

Pick the A grade player with the longest contract and make up a story. Who has the second longest contract? Curnow?

IF the swans wanted to throw their hat in the ring, it would start with papley, plus 2 firsts and then go from there
