Cotchin is Richmond's best Brownlow chance

I have Cotch quite a few votes clear for us (have him on 19 again this year). Was great when we were winning. That counts for more in the Brownlow. Dusty won't poll well.

Miles will upset the apple cart by grabbing votes of Cotchin, Miles was an umpires pet when it came to collecting free kicks, when Cotchin won the 2012 brownlow, if memory serves me correct he didn't poll a vote in the first 7 rounds when he wasn't getting looked after by the umps but as soon as the umps starting paying Cotch more attention from round 8 onwards the votes flowed.

Wouldn't be surprised if any of the 7 at the top of your leaderboard win it.

Think Dusty will snag a few more votes for us, though he was best in losing teams a number of times.

Joke of a medal considering vote favouritisms, but priddis is a very worthy winner.

I fear the brownlow is becoming a 6-14 side medal.
top 6 teams
if you look at the best players in the comp they have good players around them in a good team top 6 teams
so the best players lose votes from there team mates.

then you have the last 4 teams don't win enough go get the votes
(unless you have ablett because he is hands down the best player in the comp maybe even best to ever play the game)

i personally think they need to look at a new way of voting on this
taking nothing away from priddis he is a good player for his club.
but best in the comp not a chance not even in the top 10 IMO

I would actually struggle to fit him in my top 40.
He is a good honest battler... Very similar style to Shane Tuck.

Then how is it that we haven't won one in 1000 years ?! Yes Cotchin aside.
Stick your money on Lids for the Brownlow next year now...
Once fit late in the season and playing his perfect roll of high half-forward mid, Lids polled 11 votes in just 6 games.
Injury aside, a full fit year in 2015 should see him poll mid 20's minimum.

People always have and always will under rate priddis by the sounds of it, but as i said a worthy winner, have thought of him as one of the best for years now. That said, only a few more games from ablett and we know what the result would have been.
