Has to hurt RD, but it is good for the division as it may open things up a little.
That said they still have plenty of talent and still would be favourites.

It is amazing someone can go from the 2nd Division as such straight into AFL in a week before kickoff.
You hope he has a reasonable fitness base etc.

I reckon you can almost lock in a Donny East vs East Ringwood GF. Lilydale were too small last year in the GF, Knox will likely struggle, who else can make the step up, Wanny South?

Falcons got up by 5 points over the Sharks with a goal by the captain that sailed through after the siren

5 goals up at the 10 minute mark in the last and PO kicked 5 in a row, lucky escape

We play them on Saturday should be a cracker

We didnt look too small for East Ringwood and the final margin should have been more

Message to Knox FC, control your supporters and make sure they are drug tested (and clean) before attending games. For a club who have been relegated twice in three years, the last thing you need is yobbos ruining the day for others around them. Thank you.

Did you swallow a bitter pill yesterday? The talk from those around Croydon was that playing Knox was going to be a walk in the park. What was the score again?

Croydon lost but at least they have never forfeited their reserves team once in 113 years of existence, which Knox did at Vermont last year. Even Nunawading in their year of getting 40 goal hidings in 2016 fielded two teams every week! You blokes should be in the SFNL with Sandown, Clayton etc.

A great win by Knox, they are harder to pick at the moment than a broken nose.

How do you know they are not outsiders and not members?

DE v whoever, it doesnt matter as its them and daylight btw them. Too much high end talent compared to other home grown lists like Lilydale and Croydon.

Interesting results today with Croydon over East Doncaster. At the other end of the ladder there are 3 teams trying to avoid relegation. No results yet for East Ringwood v Upper Gully. Whoever won that one will have a little breathing space.

Disagree. Unless they're using a final eight, I don't think East Ringwood will play finals at all this year. I feel that Croydon and Bayswater will be the most likely challengers to Doncaster East.

Only 2 games between 4th and last or 1 game between 5th and last and bottom team 4 wins. Some one is going to be very unlucky to be relegated..East Ringwood v Knox a key relegation battle game next round.

Would have thought Wanny South need a win. Started the season very well but have struggled since. Teams coming at them. Have no knowledge as to why they appear to have stopped. Injuries?

Hopefully Knox stay where they are, so they can invest in some Melways in order to find grounds in third division.

Apparently one of the Croydon boys sustained an injured neck or back due to a dangerous tackle on GF day.

One of the Donny East players dressed up as this injured player on Mad Monday
