Listened to this every now and then since release and enjoyed it, but last week or two it's really popped for me. Top shelf. Matador a seriously good track.
 
I really haven't given this album enough time it seems.

Took me about 5 listens to click, mate.
Cone of Shame was the first stand-out.

That said, I'm not sure it has the staying power of their other releases (but maybe that says more about my adhd attention-span for music in the digital-age?)..
 
It's a great album, with a couple of duds on it (like most FNM albums aside from Angel Dust). I was probably my favorite album of 2015, but I'm a massive FNM fanboi so it was always going to be hard to eclipse.

I'd probably rate the FNM Patton-era albums:

  1. Angel Dust
  2. King For A Day
  3. Sol Invictus
  4. Album of the Year
  5. The Real Thing
