Can’t predict a drop off purely based on senior players retiring.

We’ve added Henry , Ginnivan, McReery to our forward line in the last 12 months. All have given our forward line a refreshed look.

Club just needs to be pro active in looking to fill the age gap void if senior players do retire if the younger guys aren’t ready.

I’m spewing we never took a stab at chol. Although understand we may not have been able to afford him money wise. But those are the types of players we need to take a gamble on.

In short. World isn’t caving in because we lose some of that list.

Roughy had no impact
Cox meh
Howe great, but the type to play a few more years yet
Sidey, already moving him to a flank and more of a cream type player now
Madgen, Murphy better when fit
Billy a star, but Henry clear replacement
Checker a late starter so a young 29

Thankfully we aint really relying on the 30+ brigade too much
Players coming through …
Plenty that look promising

Improvement from Murphy, Lipinski, J Daicos, Noble and IQ combined with the following coming on really quickly: Henry, Ginnivan, McCreery, and Daicos has me less worried about a fall than I was a the beginning of the year, particularly as I'm also hopeful that a couple of Carmichael, Kreuger and Johnson will make the grade and help to fill the list age gap.

With Dean and Johnson injured I’d go Chugg from that list. Being in this week’s 25 suggests he’s close.
That’s exactly how I see it.

I know Murley is showing a bit at vfl. But he cost us the game today and I think will be given more time.

Johnson will take Reef/Tyler’s spot once fit.

Hoping Dean is right by the time Murphy gets injured.

Dean be most Likely and Postion we badly needed.

Though Chugg and Carmchiel another 2 that could.

Johnson in at least 3 weeks could Debut IF he gets Back to his Form Pre-Hammy could easily Debut

3 SA Boys be more next season

Regarding list management errors in the recent past the timing of Covid has hit us hard- other clubs have been hit hard also - but our cap issues and the subsequent perceptions from outside the club will continue to cause a restriction on what players will be available to us.

So we need to be proactive and creative in our recruitment and diligent in our management of senior and aging players to manage the upcoming maturity crisis.

Recent results suggest we have done well recently and are on the right track but more needs to be done as we face challenges on a number of fronts.

Looks like we were both right with Chugg debuting tomorrow.
