I liked Jung's reviews, but I get the impression he was a gigantic pain in the arse.

They used the opportunity to get a girl on the show, but it doesn't seem like the reason they got rid of him.

Jung claimed he was booted because ABC wanted a female host, ABC claims Jung was booted because he was really hard to work with.

The truth is probably a bit of both. I feel sorry for Jung though.

Not really. The original Modern Warfare is one of the greatest games of all time.

My preference is for FF8 but I don't think it is outrageous that the other placed higher.

Halo Reach was my surprise for being too high and I think RE4 & Half Life 2 are too low. But I like this list a lot more than others more recently.

Other glaring ones to me are Counter-Strike only at 98 below COD and BF, FIFA 2014 in at all and worst of all... DayZ. It's still in Alpha FFS!

Also a bit annoying that every single Halo game made it. The fact that 2, 4 and Reach are all next to each other almost makes me feel like it was rigged.

I won't start on games that missed the list...

There were rumours they didn't play the games a couple years ago (when Hex joined), the word was they had their editors and others playing and writing the reviews (someone in the local industry had the inside scoop when I interviewd him for an indie magazine profile I wrote); there was a long stretch (a couple years?) where Bajo's review scores, and Hex's, were exactly the same. Even now, they have basically the same opinion on every game. The way it's scripted too gives that away. They should just get rid of the 2 scores, make it one, cos they basically the same.

At least when Junglist was on their reviews were often wildly varying. And there is a lot of truth to the fact ABC hired her to broaden the appeal.

Im sure she doesnt like those games, but she's often fair in her reviews. Both hosts arent into sports games and racing games.

IMO neckbeards would be much harsher of that genre.

Agree, I reckon they're fine. They do acknowledge that sports games aren't their thing but have never seen them give a dud score based in their personal preference. From memory pretty sure they both gave NBA2k14 9/10, for example.

What big games have come out for them to review though?
I think over the coming months when bigger titles start dropping on a weekly basis we'll see them up their review numbers.

Yep this, can't review what doesn't exist and this year has been the slowest for triple A games I can ever remember.
