I'm just asking you to explain the basic facts.

How did the Steele dossier connect to Trump's first impeachment?

How come you can't say?

Because the video highlights it better than i could put in words?

Because you can't make your own argument?

no, the video explains my argument. Would you like a transcript. There is no argument by the way. It’s now becoming very much proven.

I just explained why. For some reason you can’t hit a play button? You seem a little worked up?
It's just stunning to see someone start a thread and then be unable to make their own argument almost immediately.

It's proven that Trump's first impeachment was based on the Steele dossier?

Ok, tell me how.

It's proven that Trump's first impeachment was based on the Steele dossier?

Okay, just got back from my kids basketball Grand final. Please read below.

The Steele dossier, also known as the Trump–Russia dossier,[1][2][3] is a political opposition research report written from June to December 2016 containing allegations of misconduct, conspiracy, and co-operation between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the government of Russia prior to and during the 2016 election campaign. NPR has described the controversial opposition research as an "explosive dossier of unsubstantiated and salacious material about President Trump's alleged ties with Russia".[3] The dossier, leaked by BuzzFeed News in January 2017[4] without its author's permission,[5][6][7][8][9] is an unfinished 35-page compilation of raw intelligence[10][11] based on information from anonymous sources known to the author, counterintelligence specialist[12] Christopher Steele,[13] a former head of the Russia Desk for British intelligence (MI6), written for the private investigative firm Fusion GPS, paid for by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).[14] The dossier's 17 reports allege that Trump campaign members and Russian operatives had conspired to co-operate in Russia's election interference to benefit Trump.[15] It also alleges that Russia sought to damage Hillary Clinton's candidacy, including sharing negative information about Clinton with the Trump campaign.[16] Several mainstream media outlets criticized BuzzFeed's decision to publish the reports without verifying their allegations,[17][18] while others defended its decision.[19]

In June 2016, Fusion GPS subcontracted Steele's firm to compile the dossier. DNC officials denied knowing their attorney had contracted with Fusion GPS, and Steele asserted he was not aware the Clinton campaign was the recipient of his research until months after he contracted with Fusion GPS.[20][21] Following Trump's election as president, funding from Clinton and the DNC ceased, but Steele continued his research and was reportedly paid directly by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn R. Simpson.[22] While compiling the dossier, Steele passed some of his findings to both British and American intelligence services.[23][24]

The media, the intelligence community, and most experts have treated the dossier with caution due to its unverified allegations, while Trump denounced it as fake news.[25] The U.S. intelligence community took the allegations seriously,[26] and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated every line of the dossier and identified and spoke with at least two of Steele's sources.[27] In January 2017, the primary sub-source said that Steele misstated or exaggerated certain information.[28] The Mueller Report, a summary of the findings of the Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections, contained passing references to some of the dossier's allegations but little mention of its more sensational claims.[27]

Some aspects of the dossier have been corroborated,[29] in particular its main finding[30] that Putin and Russia actively favored Trump over Clinton[23] and that many Trump campaign officials and associates had multiple secret contacts with Russians.[31][32] However, many allegations in the dossier remain unverified or have been dismissed by authorities.[33][34][35] Adam Goldman and Charlie Savage, two New York Times reporters heavily involved in reporting on Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections, have described it as "deeply flawed".[36] The Daily Telegraph has reported that anonymous sources believe Russian intelligence agencies may have sought to create doubt about the veracity of the dossier.[37]

The dossier played a central role in the seeking of FISA warrants on Carter Page[38] in terms of establishing probable cause.[39][40]

It appears that Durham theorizes that the Trump-Russia collusion narrative was a political attack manufactured by the Clinton campaign. Relying on Danchenko, Steele compiled the reports for Glenn Simpson, co-founder of intelligence firm Fusion-GPS, which specializes in digging up political dirt. Fusion-GPS was retained for the Trump project by Perkins-Coie, the Clinton campaign’s law firm.

The New York Times has finally gone on record to admit that the infamous "Steele Dossier" was a fabricated piece of propaganda that was designed to smear President Donald Trump.

The NY Times was a major promoter of the now-debunked conspiracy theory that President Trump colluded with Russia to win the election in 2016.

RE: the Mueller report:

Defenders of the dossier say its overall message — that Russia wanted to help Trump win the election, in part to sow discord in the United States — has been validated by the Mueller report. Detractors say many of the details have been proved false or remain unverified.

Neither case is confirmed by the Mueller report. Mueller was looking for criminal acts, not seeking to confirm the dossier. In fact, Steele is rarely mentioned in the more than 400 pages. So one cannot necessarily say the Mueller report ends the matter, given a continuing counterintelligence investigation.

“The Mueller Report substantiates the core reporting and many of the specifics in Christopher Steele’s 2016 memoranda, including that Trump campaign figures were secretly meeting Kremlin figures, that Russia was conducting a covert operation to elect Donald Trump, and that the aim of the Russian operation was to sow discord and disunity in the U.S. and within the Transatlantic Alliance,” Joshua A. Levy, counsel for Fusion GPS, told The Fact Checker. “To our knowledge, nothing in the Steele memoranda has been disproven.”

The Special Counsel investigation was an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections, links between associates of Donald Trump and Russian officials, and possible obstruction of justice by Trump and his associates. The investigation was conducted by special prosecutor Robert Mueller from May 2017 to March 2019. It was also called the Russia investigation, the Mueller probe, and the Mueller investigation.[1][2]

The Mueller report, officially titled Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election, is the official report documenting the findings and conclusions of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 United States presidential election, allegations of conspiracy or coordination between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia, and allegations of obstruction of justice. The report was submitted to Attorney General William Barr on March 22, 2019,[1] and a redacted version of the 448-page report was publicly released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on April 18, 2019. It is divided into two volumes. The redactions from the report and its supporting material were placed under a temporary "protective assertion" of executive privilege by then-President Trump on May 8, 2019, preventing the material from being passed to Congress,[2] despite earlier reassurance by Barr that Trump "confirmed" he would not exert privilege.[3]

Volume II of the report addresses obstruction of justice. The investigation intentionally took an approach that could not result in a judgment that Trump committed a crime.[18][19][20] This decision was based on an Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) opinion that a sitting president is immune from criminal prosecution,[21][22][23] and Mueller's belief that it would be unfair to accuse the president of a crime even without charging him because he would have no opportunity to clear his name in court; furthermore it would undermine Trump's ability to govern and preempt impeachment.[19][22][24][21][25] As such, the investigation "does not conclude that the President committed a crime"; however, "it also does not exonerate him",[26][27] with investigators not confident of Trump's innocence.[28][29][30][31] The report describes ten episodes where Trump may have obstructed justice while president and one before he was elected,[32][33] noting that he privately tried to "control the investigation".[34][35][36] The report further states that Congress can decide whether Trump obstructed justice and take action accordingly,[19][37][38] referencing impeachment.[39][40]

Why on earth would I read a slab of text cut and pasted from wikipedia? Are you FireKrakouer in disguise?

Just explain to me how Trump's first impeachment was based on the Steele dossier, as you claim in your OP.

Clearly you can't make your own argument.

The Democrats didn't impeach Trump over the no collusion found investigation kicked off by the Steele Dossier.
They went after him because he asked what that clear quid pro quo Biden was on camera bragging about.

The media trial for three years was about Russia, the performances by Schiff including the envelope in the hand he said contained the proof - that he knew was rubbish, was from the Steele Dossier.

The same guy who investigated Ukraine and is now heading up Jan 6 too.

But have faith. The media and the political institution is rock solid.

It would only be reinforced if people involved are impeached after republicans take the house and the media call it all a witch hunt.

Okay, you asked, i provided. It's a pretty complex issue. But, i can't do anymore than that. You just keep that head in the sand. Schools out.

Biden was part of it for sure. And Ukraine aid. It was the phone call call Trump actually released and the quid pro quit on aid? Something like that. Mid terms will make things real interesting if the Republicans take both houses.

Mate, if you can't watch or can't read, i can't help you.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe don't advertise it.

You got schooled and have nowhere to go. Just own it and walk away.

You definitely can't. Because you don't have the faintest clue what you're talking about.

Just push play or put the glasses on. Or are you spamming trying to get it shut down because of feelings?

Just explain to me how Trump's first impeachment was based on the Steele dossier, as you claim in your OP.

It should be easy for you.

Already responded. Please read or watch.
