I should watch Fargo, everyone raves about it.

Last night I watched 'Lars and the Real Girl' thanks to a recommendation from catgal23 . It was so good, so many awkward moments, I laughed and cried through most of it. 9/10 :):thumbsu:

So glad you liked it Karen. It's one of my favourite movies.

One of the best scenes for awkwardness must be when Lars introduces the lovely Bianca to his brother...:hearts:

(And yeah, watch Fargo :thumbsu:)

I'm not ashamed to admit I shed a tear at Bianca in the river CG (can't say anymore without giving the movie away ;))
Watching Magnum Force on Gem. 42 years later and it still stacks up.
Love Dirty Harry and Magnum Force.
Still haven't seen Eastwood in Gran Turino. Must make an effort to track it down. :thumbsu:
I may have to revise my fav Bond film. Keeping in mind I was only a lil tacker last time I saw them, the fact that Jaws seen the light and come over was probably enough to sway me.

For Your Eyes Only is also good, Moore is visibly older but looking fitter than ever.. wait, am I talking about an actor or our beloved team..?

So many cliches and double entendres in these films and some funny dialogue, as the Brits do so well. Also noticed that, like a lot of musical beats, scenes are repeated/tweaked in more recent flicks.

Seen Foxcatcher during the week, distressing from any perspective and doubly so 4 me, from a horse lover's pov. (The family have been pioneers in the American thoroughbred industry.)

Steve Carell & Channing Tatum are very believable.
Watched Casino Royale for the 3rd time last night, but agree, old Bond movies are the best. The over-the-top gadgets are awesome.

Anyone seen/watched rescue me?
Really liked that show.
Do you mean the series or movie? Think I saw a couple of seasons of the series-about a firefighter and his ex?-pretty good. :thumbsu:

Gran Turino? Are you kidding me?

One of the best movies of the last 5 years.

Talking about Eastwood, just watched pretty much half of the good the bad and the ugly scene by scene on youtube this weekend. Absolute masterpiece.

While I'm on the topic of Westerns, who here has seen the magnificent 7?

Can anyone explain to me who and how could spoilers if you haven't seen the movie

Really Spoilers anyone shot Fernando, seriously I don't think any death in any movie has made any less sense to me, the bad guys had already fled
Highlight the above line.

I still think about it every so often and I saw the movie for the first time almost 15 years ago

Yeah, Fargo is pretty good.

Actually, both the movie and the TV series are good.

Anyone seen the British spy series The Game? Started watching it last night and unsure if I should bother continuing on with it.

28 Days Later on OneHD at 10.30pm tonight.
I stayed up to watch it. Was pretty good.

Don't mind Danny Boyle's work-thinking Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire-there's probably heaps more.

Rings a bell-set in London during the Cold War? If that's it, I saw the first couple of eps.

It's a short series, only 6 or 7 eps from memory, so I should've stuck with it.

That's the one. It was a slow first episode but if it is short, may as well see it through.

Oh my god, that was a sad movie.
Great story, but so sad.

I'm a sucker for movies that make me cry. I've watched Titanic, Boys Don't Cry, Green Mile etc...quite a few times and cry at the same parts EVERY time. :$

And that would be?

A few animated movies from when I was a kid were major tear jerkers. Charlotte's Web and Dumbo were hard to watch without crying.

There's a movie, I think it was called 'The Land Before Time', a kids dinosaur movie.
It was SO sad, dinosaurs dying all though the movie.

The noise of the blue shell is scary.
never mind, you would not be in first place long enough for them to take effect!:)
True FTW! My Princess Peach still goes along at a slow and steady pace. :$
What are you playing atm?
