ok, maybe im being unfair and presumptuous re where you're coming from, so i'll point just one issue with the "doco".
one of, if a not the premise of the film is that the world is controlled by privately-owned central banks that have forced themselves onto the populace around the whole world. in that nice place called reality, central banks are part of their respective governments. sure, we can talk about all kinds of caveats like the US' unique public-private structure, or the fact libya uses another county's central bank (yemen's? i forget) as its own but i don't see that as meaningful within the context of the doco's 3 hours of doom and gloom.
my question to you is: if documentary cannot even get such basic facts right, what does this tell you about its academic or scholarly quality? how can you trust anything it says? and who can be bothered chasing down every last allegation for more than 3 hours of bollocks?
now, i don't expect any doco to be perfect or to agree with everything it says. i am more than happy to cut them slack for anything i might feel is an honest mistake, or working with the best information available at the time (or simply a difference of opinion). such claims as the one i just addressed above are dishonest, wrong, and help fill the world with shitty information. it pisses me off.
