Would anyone be able to tell me where I could pick up a NSW Blues jersey? Can't seem to find them anywhere..

emailing people through the nsw website to see if you can buy one is probably the best, maybe your only, option. dont think kingsgrove sell them in the store anymore

http://www.cricketnsw.com.au/shop (out of date but i'm pretty sure the James West contact still works)
http://www.cricketnsw.com.au/inside-cricket-nsw/contacts (and if it doesn't)

i would assume you'll have to do a similar thing, Ethan

well the situation for NSW is pretty clear: win one of these two upcoming games and qualify for the semi final. lose both of them and we must suck hard so good thing we're not in the semis

Bollinger suspended for throwing a ball at the batsman, Sandhu comes back in, and in classic NSW fashion, his absence for the previous game is yet to be explained as far as I know. Copeland or SOK to be the guy who truly replaces Bollinger. http://www.cricketnsw.com.au/news-l...lace-bollinger-for-plan-b-clash-with-victoria

Futures XI game v Vics on Monday. Doran out, Riley Ayre in. So I guess we have a policy of playing one U19 player per game, and rotating who that U19 player is? idk. seems weird for doran to go out. Conway comes in as does a new face in Dale McKay, who is supposedly 21 and played for the U17s last year...:http://www.cricketnsw.com.au/news-list/2013/10/18/scott-henry-to-captain-nsw-futures-league-team

Now that we break for T20, we should review how the first half of the Shield season has gone. I'm omitting the Test players from these lists.

Most runs
  • Ryan Carters - 4 games, 428 runs @ 61.14 (2 hundreds, 1 fifty)
  • Nic Maddinson - 6 games, 418 runs @ 38.00 (3 fifties)
  • Scott Henry - 6 games, 365 runs @ 36.50 (3 fifties)
  • Peter Nevill - 4 games, 219 runs @ 43.80 (1 fifty)
  • Ben Rohrer - 3 games, 219 runs @ 36.50 (2 fifties)
  • Moises Henriques - 3 games, 202 runs @ 33.66 (1 hundred)
  • Kurtis Patterson - 2 games, 81 runs @ 20.25 (1 fifty)
  • Trent Copeland - 5 games, 158 runs @ 17.55 (1 fifty)
  • Sean Abbott - 5 games, 107 runs @ 13.37
  • Steve O'Keefe - 6 games, 99 runs @ 12.37
  • Manjot Singh - 1 game, 22 runs @ 11.00
  • Gurinder Sandhu - 4 games, 10 runs @ 3.33
  • Doug Bollinger - 4 games, 9 runs @ 3.00
  • Josh Hazlwood - 1 game, 5 runs @ 2.50
Carters' tally doesn't include his innings against England. He is firmly entrenched at the top of our order now and is a definite upgrade on another interstate part-time wicky in David Dawson. Maddinson and Henry continue to frustrate with starts but not going on with converting them to hundreds. This is proving costly when we go in with a side consisting of only 5 specialist batsmen and Nevill. Still not sure if Copeland's batting is strong enough for him to be holding down No. 7, while Abbott and SOK are much more capable than their current season averages.
Most wickets
  • Steve O'Keefe - 6 games 24 wickets @ 22.25
  • Doug Bollinger - 4 games, 17 wickets @ 25.17 (1 5-for)
  • Sean Abbott - 5 games, 17 wickets @ 28.11
  • Trent Copeland - 5 games, 15 wickets @ 31.66 (1 5-for)
  • Moises Henriques - 3 games, 5 wickets @ 36.60
  • Josh Hazlewood - 1 game, 2 wickets @ 44.50
  • Gurinder Sandhu - 4 games, 7 wickets @ 52.28
  • Manjot Singh - 1 game, 0 wickets
Abbott is the big improver here and will be hard to dislodge from the side even when guys like Hazlewood and Cummins become available again. Sandhu is the disappointment, unable to carry on the form he showed when he debuted lats year and conspicuously only bowled one over in SA's short 2nd innings the other day. SOK quietly going about his business, picking up more wickets and doing them at an economic rate.

In fifth grade yesterday a Northern District player has taken 6 wickets in 6 balls.

although there is a few details coming through because the fall of wickets wouldn't be possible for that to happen unless he got a stumping of a wide for the 5th wicket but none of his dimissals are stumpings.

Obviously an over change between the 3rd and 4th wicket but not sure how the score can advance from 48 to 49 with the 6th wicket. of course there may have been a typo from whoever was doing the scorecard.

regardless 5 in a row or 6 in a row is massive.

The obvious fear is that in the last round + final if we make it, what bowling line-up do we pick, given Henriques and Lyon will likely be back. We all know NSW have a tendency to pick absolutely horribly balanced line-ups....(seen as recently as http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/669201.html).

It seems to me that CA's desire to get games into certain players is a significant reason for those sort of lineups.

New South Wales suffers more than any other state from that.
