Brilliant game. Thought although umpires missed a lot that last quarter they did let a lot for both sides go. Bad luck Giants. All aboard the Lions train now.
All this fussing over crowd noise every year.

that last few minutes were some of the worst umpiring from the year. refused to pay free kicks that were their for gws, refused to pay high tackles and clear holding the balls on collingwood players diving on it to hold it in. Why the afl thinks not paying clear free kicks in the last quarter of big games makes for good football says everything about how amateur the afl is.
For the record, we dont need to be told every few minutes on how loud it is. Clearly the MCG is probably throwing crowd noise over the mic to amp it up. Every ground does it as its a proven practise.

Felt like a Crows game.
Dominated for a large portion of the game, couldn't put it on the scoreboard and then fall short at the end for a "brave loss"

pies deserve to play in the GF.. been the best team for the majority of the year.
Giants have been great the last month or so though.. they’ll take this sting and use it to motivate them next year.

They were going to cop it from the umps either way.
Collingwood win and it’s the Collingwood vs Carlton GF “Fairytale”.
GWS win and there has to be a Vic team in it.

Only professional sporting league in the world where the umpires don’t apply the rules in the last 5-10 minutes of the game. What a pissweak excuse of a professional sporting league.

How many high tackles on GWS players were missed towards the end?
Giants got dudded. High tackling now legal apparently
And tackle them around the neck
Made stupid turn overs and for some reason forgot the aliir game plan of not kicking blindly down the line and kept kicking it blindly for Moore. GWS were the better team, just made stupid decisions. Not helped by the umpires in the final minutes.
