Is having surgury on his hip.

Thanks for your interest in Mossy – he has had a couple of goes at running again but has struggled a fair bit. He has had another specialist opinion and we are waiting on his advice as to how to proceed.
Regards
Yeah, but there's the usual "gentleman's agreement" for other clubs not to pick him up. Whether it is kept or not, who knows.
I admit, I'm biased despite not having seen a huge amount, but gee, he's just got the most beautiful kick, and a decent size. If we can't turn that into a decent player we're in trouble. (Assuming he gets over his injury).
I tried asking Schwerdty about the likelihood of rerookieing him but got nothing from him
Yeah I saw that. What an absolute tragedy.Thought it would be worth mentioning that James was listed in today's grand final SANFL budget as a retiring player from league SANFL.
I didn't realise his injury, hip I believe, was quite that bad. Thats a real shame for him if thats his reason for retiring.
Shocking stuff. I think he'll take next season off and try and get the hip right. If he can, he might return the following year.Thought it would be worth mentioning that James was listed in today's grand final SANFL budget as a retiring player from league SANFL.

Useless Fact: James Moss has 1 leg shorter than the other, and walks with a distinct limp.
The worst bit is that I believe his hip problem is something that he was born with and may not improve? He could be done and dusted at 20 years of age. Really hope not and that he comes good with some time off.
He looked good in that T20 charity thing against Port earlier this year. (he was playing right?) Good luck in the future mate.Heard from more than one person now that he's pursuing cricket. Good on him, is a gun cricket player.
The AFL Commission this week ruled that clubs can re-rookie a player for a third straight season without that player first entering the NAB AFL Draft and the Pre-Season Draft.
The League introduced the changes in an effort to give existing clubs more list management flexibility while the Gold Coast and Greater Western Sydney franchises are granted draft concessions.
Could, and/or should have this saved James Moss' position at the club? Or was it a joint decision to have him delisted?
He could have been kept on again this year, hopefully have a preseason and a non-injury-interrupted season and shown his real worth.
Pretty sure we delisted him before this rule came into effect by the sounds of it.
