Positive is that we have finished our tough run with the game against the top team. Only gets easier from here.....with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th placed teams coming up.

I wonder what the odds are that round 14 marks the return of Ablett and the other Suns' stars as they begin their charge up the ladder...

A positive I think.

That word again .... Perspective.

No doubt Freo are the best around right now. In fact IMHO the flag is theirs to lose. But...

Take 3 of their best mids out - Fyfe, Barlow, Mundy

OR

Put 3 of our best mids in - Wells, SWallow, NDS

and Freo probably still wins, the gap would be much closer.

Positive:

Froggy racking up 3 tackles in his limited time

Yeah 60 instead of 73

ill try to be conservative

Less woeful kicking for goal = 50pt loss
Clean up disposal and shocking turn overs or drop Gibson = 3 goals or 32pts
Add Swallow, Wells, NDS and Brown = 2 goals as you say = 20pts
Home ground advantage = 2 goals = lose by 8pts and win playing at home ;)

Consider Freo's starting midfielders
Fyfe 190cm 90kg
Mundy 192cm 94 kg
Barlow 189cm 95kg

Cunnington 185cm 86kg
Ziebell 186cm 86kg

Spot the difference?
All the Freo players kick, handpass and tackle to win
Ohh and their are all big and fast
A hypothetical for you, line those 5 up in 100 metre dash for a loose ball, what would be the finishing order ?

Or take out their 3 and put our 3 in like it was last night.. yes it would be a different story

1. We are blander and more insipid than Coles own brand vanilla ice cream
2. We have gone backwards since last year - the outs are no excuse
3. Goldie and Scotty T can hold their head high
4. We are no chance of being top 4
5. Why do the mids specialise in the "kick and hope" kick from a centre clearances - just came straight back every time. Gibbo was really pissing me off
No need to bad mouth Coles' Vanilla Ice Cream. Try adding some Coles own brand Two Fruits in a can to it and get back to me.

Agree with the rest though.

hate to say it but the Tigers played with more commitment than we did in their game against Port - smashed them with double team tackles every time they got near the ball - where is our intensity?

Intensity isn't something we do well or often. We win with run and precise inside 50 usage.

I suppose - might have been the quality of the opposition but some of our players looked disinterested

I miss the shinboner spirit.

I miss those days where we'd go into a game with our backs against the wall knowing that our team would come out breathing fire and serve it up to anyone both physically and mentally.

Unfortunately, Saturday night, we showed we are as week as p*ss. I can't remember such a weak minded North Melbourne team in my life.

What irritated me most watching Saturday night was that as the game progressively slipped away from us there was no 'increased pressure', no 'heavy tackles', no 'anger' and no heart. Just a resignation that we were going to get belted.

This team is going absolutely nowhere. They are nothing but a pushover.

yep it is very sad that we are getting smashed too regularly the past few seasons. I had a feeling we will be up and down when NDS was on the footy show at the start of the season basically giving excuses as to why we might not be as good as last season.

The f*** is that?

It's as though it was written in Chinese and translated.

Goldstein appeared to be chasing his Fremantle attacker Aaron Sandilands, who is before the clearance delight that are caused by the Dockers’ back little hole, once Ballantyne required to dam his route

Lol

Pretty funny that Mundy is bigger than their FB....
