Huge challenge for the membership department to keep the fair weathered members interested during this transition period. They need to get pretty creative, especially with how pricy everything is

afl allows clubs to count free memberships now
It's about publicity, communication with supporters, helping to understand and grow our demographic and getting individuals to commit. The rest is just dick measuring.
If you want to know how big a club is, look at the bottom line.

reckon supporters holding off to see if yze gives the kids a chance. last year burned a lot of people. the media and messaging from the club has also been shizenhousen this off season. like zero hype.
Doesn't matter...the real memberships are the one's that truly count financially!
Can bullsheet all you want with Membership numbers...if you lie you only hurt yourself/Club financially!

Richmond is the only club to get 100k before the afl removed the $50 limit for counting memberships
carltoon and colonwood numbers are fake as fu*k
they never got close to 100k when it was a real 100k

carltoon have the most free memberships
they had 30k less than us before that rule came in now all of a sudden 95k
they offered buy one get 3 free lol and now all counted in the tally

we found that out last year. we were shite and lost dumma as a coach still got 100k
