Richmond's top end is slightly better, North's bats a little deeper. You forgot Nick Dal Santo aswell.

It's North. Tigers have the better A graders, but they don't have the depth after that. North's midfield runs fairly deep.

62 points wasn't it? North love Richmond. I think Richmond fans are a little delusional.

Painfully I must agree, it's North.

Good spread of ages, talent and balanced. Both have a lot of room for growth.

Swallow, Cunnington, Ziebell on the inside is solid, but Wells, Dal Santo and Harvey on the outside is pretty impressive. I think that and Goldstein give NM the extra edge.

Think North have us covered tbh. Bat deeper. For us to give them a serious run, Conca, Vlas and Foley will need to step up and someone like Arnott will have to be good enough to be added to the rotations

I picked North, but I think both sides have midfields ranked around 4-8th. The pickup of Dal Santo was really smart, he can still play and it helps fix North's outside issues. It's a good get.

Both will need real consistency from their younger mids if they want to make an actual impact on 2014.

Pretty sure this thread has been done before....

What I like about North's midfield (compared to our own) is they seem to perform better as a midfield unit and are a lot better at running back defensively that our guys are. Our mids are great going forward but if they are getting smashed, we lack the defensive minded mids to help stem the tide. Hopefully Matty Arnot can bring that into the mix next season.
