First of all I don't think the club sees him as a KPF. He trained with the backline all preseason and has only been putforward after Freeman was out for the year. He is a defender first and foremost.

Why tho? We have a good collection of defenders and could possible have Weitering at the end of the year. McStay looks like a Gunston type of player but with more ability in the air. We need forwards.
