I actually feel sorry for Oea , the AFL want him to succeed more than any other player in the comp and will promote him when he does anything like the goal today. Yes he showed speed but it was a brilliant handball from Holman that put him into space and the GWS defender did not leave his man in the goalsquare to attack him. The thing is that so many good players are dominating in the reserves and not being rewarded. AFL is a competitive sport and you just can't gift games being subbed out 3 out of 4 games must be some type of record

Small forward a gaping hole on the list.
We play King, Levi, Luko, Ainsworth and Holman. Need a speedy small forward to complement them and be a ground ball player both attacking and defending otherwise we are too top heavy and slow. Can swap King for Burgess and it might help, but still need a ground ball player.

We gave Berry a decent crack, did not work. Defends well, attacks poorly.
We gave Mal Rosas a good crack and he was dropped for good reason. Attack OK but does not put his nose over the ball either on the ground or in the air.
We are giving Ace a good crack and he deserves to be dropped for not getting enough of it.
Sexton the only other option and he might come in now but he has not a pressure forward either.

One of those speedy guys just has to play better, there is a spot there.

Another dispirited performance with the usual suspects poorly performing and well below AFL standards - passes for the bigger known names as they shoulder the load every f....n week BUT we have at least half a dozen who just aren't up to it.
1: Ace: He's the PC project for the Suns and AFL but is nowhere near an A grade player.
2: Swallow: Love him but it's time to have a long rest and get a statue out the front.
3: Long: Not up to it.
4: McPherson: Tries hard but another who would struggle to get a game anywhere else.
5: Holman: One of the few who actually has some animal but doesn't get enough of the ball.
6: Ellis: Thanks for your service

Suggestions:
1: Play Humphrey in the mid field - not a high forward
2: Hollands and Flanders - if they go it will be because we continually played some of the above over these two. They actually can play and get the ball and then do something with it.
3: Constable has to be as good an option as Swallow these days.
4: Sharp's probably gone but let's see what we might have missed out on.
5: Casboult down back to assist Collins and Ballard
6: Ainsworth to the pocket and bring in another high forward - Sexton or Burgess
7: Don't bring Rosas back on today's game in the 2s - he's also not up to it.
8: Fiorini has to be a better option than Ace etc!
9: Try Chol again with Casboult moving down back.
10: Try Farrar in place of Long - can't be any worse.

I've probably missed a few but with 2023 'dust' we should be playing around with some of the guys in the 2s who have been continually performing.

Biggest shame will be if we lose Hollands and Flanders due to Dew's inept ability to recognise talent.

Josh, you better give credit to Saw for today's performance You know that you were coaching AFL midfield today that was badly exposed again while Shaw handled VFL team. Anybody could coach Suns VFL team probably with the same results.

is it? davies is a 200 game player imo just play him! i'd rather lose with him having 8 kicks than ace getting 2. pies play with two non goal kickers as small forwards in hill, mccreery. port the same. we just refuse to play a kid with big upside.

Playing Oea is AFL HQ expansion inclusiveness
