A couple of big games next week to bring us to the half way mark with the top four teams playing each other, but a lot of interest at the other end. Warby hosting Emerald; Warby win and they are 3 games clear of Emerald. Emerald win and they are still a chance to stay up. Belgrave away to Wandin; Belgrave lose and they look a bit shaky. The Belgrave treasurer must be a bit tense, watching all that dough go out for not much return. Looking a long way ahead round 18 looks to be very, very interesting.

Belgrave have got a good side on paper and could be a late charge if they get there players back from injury. Will emerald win an upset and leave war by on the ropes?
Will olinda fall away like previous years in the secondhand? They have 6/9 games at home in the box seat ATM destiny in there hands rumour has it traffic cop back in town
Where is monny at 2 weeks ago on top now sitting 5th and could drop out if another loss. The elder statesmen need to hold them together and bounce back
Woori going under the radar again just the 2 (thumping) losses apart from that they look the goods to be there at the pointy end

Big day at the mcg tomorrow with Michael Hughson playing his 250th game and Shannon Koole his 200th. Rumour at the RSL tonight is both bruce and Robertson to play.
 
Well, we are at the half way mark and I would suggest the top 5 will come out of the current top 6. I reckon Upwey, Woori and Wandin will make it, but who will miss out? Mt. Evelyn has the worst percentage, Olinda might struggle as the grounds get heavier and Monbulk have no depth. Without any conviction, I think Monbulk will be the one to miss out.

Emerald's season is on the line next week; lose to Belgrave and it's relegation for the Bombers.

Some interesting changes in percentages after today's games which could prove to be vital.

Or fairly focused; clearance is through. Actually, a pretty shrewd move by Wandin in that Dalton didn't have to play up at Olinda in July. If that had been his first experience in the YVMDFNL he mightn't have come back for a second!:)
 
The season is now heating up a little.
Olinda and Mt Evelyn will be fighting for the 5th spot, can't see Wandin dropping out, more than likely will finish 2nd the way they are now travelling.
Belgrave and Warby will be pulling out all stops in the hope of Olinda and Mt Evelyn having a fall from grace, plenty of teams with something to play for as it's been for the past 3 years.
