2-4 and 105%. Calling it early... lose this and kiss ANY chance of the finals goodbye.

Going in against a side who has also won 2 games this year (so far) and who we have beaten the last 4 times by an average of 55 points. Then again we also had a good recent record against the Saints and that got us nowhere last week.

We finally get the extra break over an opponent prior to this one. An extra two days. Could be important.

The selection prior to this game will be the most important of the year. Both Bellchambers & Ambrose play VFL tomorrow but would have to be seriously considered, Goddard should return, Hocking & Myers should be right to go. Plenty of quality to return.

Who misses? Who might be unlucky? The Dempsey 'experiment' failed today - will he get another chance next week?

Plenty of worries. Plenty to ponder. Plenty to consider.

The last three weeks have been incredibly disappointing so we need to look forward. We have to turn it around at some point. This has to be the game. We're the sort of side who just needs to notch up that next win and then the confidence will return and the rest will fall into place.

bellchambers was probably good to go today. he'll be in.

do we rate the bulldogs' run? depending on the answer to that, it'll either be carlisle back and dempsey out, or carlisle/hurley swapped and dempsey gets another go.

goddard in for hardingham.

i'm very much looking forward to hooker making crameri his bitch.

In - anyone who is willing to give 100%
Out - garbage

This must be a smashing. Yeah yeah yeah I kmow the 4 points will be great considering the last 3 weeks but we MUST make a statement.

No bs resting. Go in full strength with the best available players and go hard for four quarters. No less. Do the same for every single game for the rest of the year because this team has lost the privilege of having a 'down time'.

If i was coach, i'd go for broke and just play basics;

In: Goddard, Hocking, Ambrose, Bellchambers, Myers, Orazio
Out: Ashby, Carlise, Hardingham, J Merett, Gleeson (rested), Zaka

Backline;

-- Fletcher ---Hooker -- Baguley ---
-- Dempsey -- Carlise -- Hibbered

Forward line;

-- Chapman --- Ambrose --- Winderlich ---
-- Bellchambers -- Hurley --- Orazio ---

Now that looks a lot more balanced.

IN: Defensive running by midfielders.

Seriously, all of Sidebottom's goals came from him walking in the open goal square with no one on him. All of Swan's goals came from him running into open goal with no one on him. Idk if it's the gameplan or just pure laziness, but it happens way too much.

Our stoppage work is also defensively s**t. Team need to take a good, hard look at themselves. Talented, but lazy as *

Carlisle will not be dropped and play in the backline.

Bomber put his balls on the line. Carlisle is staying forward... Eye Eye Eye. Is there a way to Say that in computer language? Inform me kids.. ( I think James Hird may have some influence in this) Thompson isn't going to lose his balls..

In: Ambrose, Bellchambers, Hocking
Out: Hardingham (inj.), Z Merrett, Ashby

B: Baguley - Hurley - Hooker
HB: Hibberd - Carlisle - Fletcher
C: Stanton - Watson - J Merrett
HF: Chapman - Daniher - Ambrose
F: Howlett - Bellchambers - Winderlich
R: Ryder - Heppell - Hocking
I: Dempsey - Melksham - Zaharakis - (Gleeson)

Reassuring thing for us is that the team that managed to beat us last week (St Kilda) are currently losing convincingly to the winless Brisbane. Fantastic...

We cannot take this Dogs game was granted as the 'certainty' many foolish supporters might think it is. No form to consider such a thing at the moment.

Give Joe a rest I say.

Gleeson was starting to look tired too, gotta recharge the batteries.

Dempsey has hand a run now so he can take his place at half back and bring in Kav or another young mid.

Edit: Hocking should be back.
