Porte almost taking out the whole sky team for a photo... You can be a million dollar professional & still not be able to ride with no hands. Haha.
You're not used to doing it tbf.

I am going to miss the Skoda ads. They do manage to come up with something good every year. Loved the talking pig this year.

Great sprint finish, as you would expect, but the Gorilla Greipel got there in the last couple of hundred metres. I reckon its great that a bloke who dominated a relatively minor race like the TDU can pull up and win 4 stages at the TDF this year.

There was a bad crash with around a kilometre to go, pretty sure it was about 100m before the 1km kite. It wasnt a big stack up, I think only 3 blokes came off their bikes but one bloke looked pretty badly hurt, didnt move for the 15 seconds they concentrated on him before they went back to the sprint finish. * how pissed off would you be, you ride about 3,500 kms and then crash out with a km to go and cant get over that final line.

And so it draws to a close for another year. Not a classic Tour, with Nibali and Contador off the pace we never quite got the mano-a-mano that could have made it something special. Great to see Quintana almost getting there in the end, will be interesting to see how it pans out for him. But he needs a whole team behind him, and him alone. Not sure if that's going to happen with Valverde around.

Personally, lost a bit of interest in it once Gerrans and Matthews were no longer contenders, but there were some nice rides/wins in the Alps, and great to see Cummings' get up for his team as well.

Next year? Think it will be hard for Froome/Sky to back it up, especially if Contador brings his A-game.

I think this shows that if you want to win two Grand Tours in the one year it will have to be the Giro and the Vuelta.

I'm hoping Porte will do well at BMC next year.

With Tee Jay there I'm not 100% sure he'll be the leader though is my only main concern for Richie. Hopefully he can take the lead, with some good support around him he'll win a few GTs. Had horrid luck in the Giro but reckon he would have covered Contador had he had an A grade team behind him & some better luck.

So who's everyone's tip for the Vuelta, now that this is over? I reckon Tejay will ride it with his early exit of the Tour and possibly win it.

Seems Sagan's podium celebration has caused another stir...

Also Cav and Sagan opted for the old Venge over the new one, Specialized must be rapt with their garbage aero gains claims. And now Trek are after Cav which could make it even more interesting

BMC has confirmed that Tejay will be their TDF leader next year regardless. They haven't developed him all these years just to have him play second fiddle to Porte. The only thing that would change this is if Van Garderen go to Lotto Jumbo or Trek, which there was a rumour about.

Vuelta tip. Aru. No one from the Tour will be able to win it. They will be too exhausted.

Heard a rumour that Specialised have offered Richie big money to leave cycling and have a crack at Kona next year.
Lol, I could beat Richie. He can't swim and certainly can't run a 2:45 marathon.

Richie is going to Cannondale IMO. Talansky, Ryder and Martin as his super domestiques
