The AFL world will all shed a tear today for Jimmy!
Was an Inspiration and my condolences go out to the MFC fraternity and his loving family!

A true champion of the game,and he did so much for the Melbourne Footy Club.

He will be immortalised and forever remembered !

Words that come to me when I think of Jim Stynes Courage, Passion, Strength, Determination.

Today is a very sad day a true gentleman who publicly fought his battle and inspired everyone.

My prayers go out to his wife his children and his family and to the Melbourne Football Club.

Respect is hard earned. Universal respect is nigh on impossible. Jim Stynes earned universal respect from the football world and those outside of football as well. He was one of a kind.

Only 45 ... such a sad and tragic loss

Still in shock, seems weird to say this but I felt like I knew him, got close to him after watching much footage of his struggle and seeing the work he did with his charity .. I'm sure I'm not the only one - he's touched the lives of many

There are very few true gentlemen in life never mind in football. Jim Stynes epitomised the definition.
