Great to see the boys have organised a practice game for this weekend so we can keep the players momentum up and keep people pushing for spots in the seniors during this debacle of VFL fixture where we have around 3 weeks off out of 6.

Perfect timing for big Daws to get some more match fitness up.

Does this mean that Wojo can have a run around as it is only a practice game. If so, well played Geelong, well played indeed!!!

"Next week is the VFL state representative match, and as such there are no VFL games scheduled. However there has been a practice match lined up against the Bendigo Gold at Windy Hill on Friday 25th May, starting at 2.30pm."

That's an interesting one.As it is just as practice game then surely he would be allowed.

Either that or if he isnt allowed surely its counted as a suspended game and taken off his tally?

So does that mean a certain bloke by the name of Varcoe is coming back this week instead of next week?!
Would be the perfect game back if so!!

No.. and now the VFL game has been cancelled

This is disappointing.

What's the reason for this? Is it because of the terrible weather predicted?

Also that annoys me that Wojo wouldn't have been allowed to play, can't haven't it both ways!

Yeah if it was a practice game and doesnt impact on his suspension then who cares if he played?!
Sometimes the league amazes me - next they will be saying that suspended players cant train....

The game got called off because it was Geelong vs Essendon VFL after Bendigo weren;t interested and Essendon couldnt get the numbers to field a side

I'd be surprised if we could get the numbers too, considering at least half a dozen VFL listed players were named in the GFL side to play the Ballarat Football League tomorrow, including Banjanin, Sully and Raidme.
