I don't know if Lyon really was that reluctant to blood youth at the Saints.

I thought they played quite a few young guys this year, Steven, McEvoy has developed into a good player, Cripps, Siposs and Lynch etc but the reality is the Saints don't have much to write home about in the youth department hence guys like Peake, Polo, Raph Clarke and Gamble getting regular games.

Exactly. Their youth is, in the main, shithouse. You don't give them games for the sake of it, especially when you're in the premiership window.

I just hope for your sake he doesn't change the gameplan to mimic that st kilda defensive shite since you have an exciting young list coming through

One would think that the Saints game plan had more to do with the limitations of the list. Or I hope so anyway...

He can make our gamestyle more defensive, I'm fine with that. It sure beats going down the line with every kick / switching to nothing. As long as its not to the St Kilda extreme and we see some excitement still
