How would the drop in revenue hit clubs? What if the salary cap gradually declined from 10 mil to 5 mil, and the footy department cap also dropped in half.
How disadvantaged would the game be if top players could only earn 500k a year and the average wage was 150k not 350k? Could clubs be professionally run without 10 assistant coaches and sports scientists.
Obviously we would've dodged the Essendon trouble and no more million a year for Tom Boyd.

Without such a huge advertising budget would the NRL dwarf the AFL? The junior development programs would have to be scaled back but why do we need 15 year olds training like professionals anyway?
