Will Nicky G replace Brock??

Makes no sense why we don't just let him play his natural game like he does with the NB where he racks up the touches. We are screaming out for more mids who can accumulate the footy!

Mitchell was similarly regarded sceptically for his lack of pace, lack of x-factor etc ... He was overlooked in the draft and only got selected after an outstanding VFL season ... Took him a couple of years to get going.

Mitchell is obviously an exceptional player, but he is evidence that size and speed are not the be-all and end-all.

It sounds like he has the skill, so it's a matter of whether he has the nous.
Mitchell wins because he has the 90% above the shoulders.

Is this even an apples v apples comparison? Nick Graham has a real Dayne Beams style in terms of the way he goes about it. Beams isn't the fastest player in the world either, but he plays his role. MM was coach when he was around and he will know how to utilise a player like this.

Malthouse is killing the poor kid, how many times does he have to start sub, get 20 minutes and then get dropped again?
Yeah I honestly don't get it, kid gets thrown in and out and doesn't even get a decent run.

Yeah Mitchell is like Diesel, he's a clever player. But also to the point, he has a great sidestep and agility which Mclean doesn't have at all. Graham does however, as I've said before, Graham moves more like Murphy than Mclean though not as quick as Murphy.

Based upon his efforts Friday night, Nick has earned the privilege of not wearing that Green vest next match. Brock may have a week in the Magoo's.
Good effort Nick, now hopefully you can back it up for the remainder of the season.

The question is, would you rather Brock or Bootsma in the side?

maybe they still dont believe he has the fitness level required yet?
One of the better trainers at the club.

As Cringle said, it's his intensity as a midfielder...even on Friday aside from THAT play he was caught just waiting outside the pack a little. I really hope we just play him though and make him learn on the job.

Robbo, Hendo and Docherty had good first goals too IIRC.

Fraser Dale's first NAB Cup goal was very nice...Kreuzer's lead up play was sublime...watch the video to get a taste of what a fit Matty brings to the side.
Every first goal for a Carlton player is glorious!
