Everything just seems a bit iffy to me, from what i've heard in the news etc. Obviously a few of you go to training and would know a bit more then me. Just how is Juddy going? I really hope he gets back to 100% before round 1 for the sake of football. Watching him is pure bliss.

sadly, i think he wont be right for RD1...no one just seems to be ultra confident or things are just kept under wraps very well...

Judd had a setback over christmas that delayed him a touch. He has participated in full training since the last session in South Africa, completed the full session yesterday without any reports of soreness or uncomfortability.
He is on track to play round 1 from most reports, but the next three weeks will tell all.

Time to forget the speculation, we will all know in the coming weeks just how fit he is!

So you've seen him complete a full training session or?

Correct. My reading is that, barring any setbacks, he'll be right for R1 but probably won't hit his straps until a month or so beyond then.

Short answer is no.

Long answer is no, but he's coming along okay, not where he/the club thought he'd be, and the only way he'll play in R1 of the season is if he isn't risked during the NAB Cup

He will be a 200 game player at Carlton. Whether he does or doesnt get to full fitness by round 1 should really be of little concern. Remember you play the Tigers anyway. Round 2 is where he may be handy.

I'm not all that fussed about whther he is ready for round one. Obviously it would be great, but the main focus should be getting him back to 100% and not playing him before he is ready and tampering with his long term health.

Why couldn't you have read the other 4 or 5 threads on Judd ..instead of starting a new one ????

Judd is coming along just as the doctor predicted ...expect him to play at least one NAB cup game before the season proper starts .

Sorry man i was looking for one but i all i could see was "Judd>>>>>>>>>>>Rudd"... haha. Yeah i did look though nothing caught my eye?

Carazzo was on SEN last night and he mentioned watching Judd at the last training session was pure bliss and he's looking the goods.

Judd is pure professional... so he'll be working his butt off the next 5 weeks fine tuning his kicking and getting physio and massages etc etc so he's at his peak for round 1.

If things are going well for us in round 1 i'm sure Chris will be able to be eased in and sit half the game on the bench.

I personally haven't made it to training since the 5th of Jan, at that stage he was still running and doing light skills. The last three training reports, written from trusted sources on this and other Carlton sites, have all had him complete the full session on Monday, and he walked off looking fresh

All will be well:thumbsu:

Okay FFS, I have kept this to myself for too long, Carlton Supporters will probably crack the shits, but this is fact.

This is from a current Carlton player - Chris Judd is only a 20% chance of playing round 1. Yes he is running and completing some training sessions - but the real problem is what is happening after, he has some issues after with swelling and soreness after, which is very restrictive.

At the end of the day - Ratten will not risk him if he's not 100% -and they are giving him all the opportunity possible - so that's why they are saying "he'll be right" but at this stage probably not till Rounds 3-4.

He's going to be an awesome recruit - why risk him doing more damage... it will put a dampner on Round 1, cause we want to flog you blokes with Judd Playing, but we can wait for the return game.

Let me say again this is fact, and don't be misguided.

Wouldn't be the first bloke to be having trouble caused by a swollen groin I would have thought!

*starts banging head against wall*
:thumbsu::eek:

Wow, some "expert" opinions here.......based on what?

Chris saying he'd like to be doing more?
Name me on player with a long term injury that wouldn't.
I'll bet if you had asked Nathan Thompson in August last year whether he knee was on track he would have said exactly what Judd said last week.......that he'd like to be doing more.

The aim after surgery was to try and get him up for round 1.

This hasn't changed.

Some people........media mostly......have too much time on their hands and like to create controversy.

The Judd rumours started on Monday last week.......after he had just done his first full training.....and pulled up a little sore........as you would having just done your first full training...........he has backed this up by doing..........yep, you guessed it........more FULL training sessions.

Do you really think, if he wasn't travelling well, that the club would risk him by pushing it, just to play the Tiges in round 1?

He's fine. This is a bigger "non-issue" than Pratt "bringing the game into disrepute", and the fact that both things get so much air time tells us that we are heading in the right direction.

For anyone else who wants to post
Everything just seems a bit iffy to me
and
sadly, i think he wont be right for RD1

back it up with something other than what the media are telling you.;)
