Explain how tanking had anything to do with getting Chris Judd as Libba said?

hutchy's a bloody parasitic slime bag!
That's the most laughably stupid bit of the entire saga.
Carlton apparently tanked to get Chris Judd.... despite, get this, losing all their games BEFORE Judd announced he was returning home.
That shows how utterly, completely, massively irrelevant and stupid Libba's conclusions are.
Personally, I didn't find Lyon to be overly anti-Carlton. I thought his take was quite pragmatic really, with a sort of "well, of course they'd tank... who wouldn't in that situation? Everyone does" attitude. I didn't think he was going after Carlton specifically, at all, his beef is with the AFL that promotes this behaviour.
Hutchy is just selling papers. The "biggest newbreaker in football" is just a pure sensationalist. He's the kind of guy that would ask James Hird "are you gay?", and when Hird rolls his eyes and walks away, Hutchy will print "Hird refuses to deny homoesexuality" in the paper the next day. He's a jackass, but unfortunately he sells because... once again... the general population buys it.
Everyone knows Eddie puts a Collingwood spin on everything 100% of the time. He's probably an OK guy, deep down, but he just has far too many fingers in far too many pies (ha!), and has done for a long time. I'll never forget listening to him commentate a Friday night game and trying to sound excited as someone (I think it was Port Adelaide) ran all over Collingwood in the last quarter. He couldn't do it. He's Collingwood through and though, and good luck to him. He's good at that. But he cannot ever be thought of as an impartial source.
Nice work Faz, refreshing to see the realistic level headed viewpoint also being represented.

Carlton are fast heading back to their perch at the top of the table which naturally generates a lot of hate in the football public. It's that football public that buy the papers. Those in the media are doing their jobs by writing about and exposing, accurately or otherwise, whatever subject matter it is that will sell those papers.
And Carlton fans need to start to take the glass half full approach, the fact that the hatred and need to cut us down is growing so strongly IS A DAMN GOOD SIGN FOR THE BLUES!![]()
Hutchy is most definately a rear admiral.
He only pursued football journalism because he putts from the rough, and needed a legitimate reason to be in the changerooms (clearly wasn't going to be admitted on footballing ability).
Pretty well every question he asked Libba (after approaching him) was the same, with an ever so slightly different context. Definite ass clown.

Right, so all the media awards he wins are also part of the whole anti-Carlton conspiracy?
Try this hypothetical (as it would NEVER happen) but if you can, imagine Eddie was in the hot-seat being questioned about Collingwood's 2005 season, I'm sure we'd be applauding the way Hutchie stuck it to him and made him squirm etc etc
I'm no lover of Hutchie but I am realistic. Tabloid journalism is a dirty business often involves underhanded techniques, betrayal of trust, and deceptive practices (and as Hutchie's awards prove, he's damn good at it). Just like working on farms requires cleaning up pig shit, working in nursing homes requires cleaning up old people's shit and being an ME requires you to cut up dead people. They're dirty jobs, but there is a need for them.
Now examine the 'need' for this dirty business of tabloid journalism or more to the point, what generates that need: The footy public who can't wait for the next big headline to talk about with their mates at the pub, business/social functions etc ie. all of us!
I am on a bit of a mission today, this victim/martyr mentality since the Footy Show last night is so pitiful and UN-CARLTON![]()
Funny how the Collingwood blatant tanking never gets brought up on the footy show. lol. The footy media is filled with "journo's" pushing out spin, to benefit their own Clubs commercial agenda and other best interests. Fact doesn't come into the equation. Perhaps the spotlight should be turned onto these "conflicts of interest" and kickbacks. There is a big story to be told.![]()

.... They're dirty jobs, but there is a need for them....

Anyone supporting this maggot and attempting to validate his "need" to exist "needs" to question their own worth. If he fell off the end of the world tomorrow he would be missed by no-one. He adds nothing.

Already into personal insults Thylacine?
I would have thought you would have the intellectual capacity to go a few rounds on the issue if you had an opposing opinion?![]()
lol. Really? I guess we shouldn't blame low-life tabloid journo's like Hutchy. If there wasn't public demand for that stuff, he wouldn't exist. It's more a reflection of the bitterness and frustration in the non-Carlton football world. They can say anything they want of course, but I think it's UN-CARLTON to not stand up and defend our great Club against these nuff nuffs.![]()

I totally agree, I say defend our great club, and do it on the basis of fact, not sensationalised paper selling bullshit.
Unfortunately, what you tend to find is that fact, reason and logic do not sink in with the nuff nuffs who are so full of Carlton hate they just grasp onto any reason to call us cheats etc. that's where the Carlton arrogance comes in handy, which dictates that these nuff nuffs are so insignificant that their opinions go virtually unnoticed![]()

Whats the point? We disagree.

You desperately need to read about a player caught ****ing a poodle in a carpark and I don't..
So you believe that if you disagree with someone there is no point intelligent debate on the topic?
So then what situation would constructive intelligent debate be for?
And straight to another personal (and baseless) insult?!?!
Not that it's all that surprising with all the youngsters on these board, but you've gotta be one of the oldest posters on here, and you're a writer no less!
I guess I'd given you way more credit than was ever warranted.
Not interested in your credit. I'm ****ed off about last night, I'm in a **** of a mood and you start crapping on about the need for the likes of this maggot Hutchison. Sorry if I'm irritated. Credit? Please.
why all the hate for hutchy?
I didnt see the footy show, but what could he have possibly said to exert this kind of responce?
I heard that he got Libba on to say you guys tanked...you did, we know it, you know it.
Did he say anything about other issues, or are you all just angry that he brought tanking back into the public eye?
I wasn't defending Hutchie at all, I stated quite clearly that I am no lover of Hutchie and mentioned my opinion that he happens to be good at a very dirty job, which could just as easily been taken as an insult.
I also wasn't validating the need for him, but simply pointing out what it is that generates that need, which in my opinion is Parrot's favourite 'nuff nuffs' who thrive on this crap and are mindless and deluded enough to think that because something is reported on TV or in a newspaper it makes it fact.
Take 2 of these and see your doctor if pain persists.

The Libba "interview" was terrible journalism ..the questions bordered on childish ...Hutchy was terrible...anyone who couldn't see just how bad he really is needs to get their head read .Right, so all the media awards he wins are also part of the whole anti-Carlton conspiracy?
