Before a season even starts?

You guys are ****ed in the head.

Nope i am trying to make a point against madtiger who seems to think Hughes is way better then raines. thats all. So if you had to pick which would you go. As well as the fact he thinks most people would rather Hughes.

I'd delist Raines. Really don't need to think about it much. Too many players of his type on the list.

Like Hughes or not, he's a tall forward on a list which really doesn't contain many tall forwards. We know he can kick a goal, can take a mark, can present...he's a skillful footballer. Attitude can be changed.

Hughes is alot more talented and is a kpp. Why would you get rid of a potentially strong young chf who has only been at the club for 2 seasons? ;)
Raines has proven he doesn't have the skills to be a future afl player. If Raines doesn't improve I think he is gone. Raines has been found out in his 2nd season. He won't last

Hughes would find it hard showing his skills however its hard to when you can not find the footy.Atleast Raines gets the ball unlike Cleve.

Cleve Hughes.

I think there is alot of talented forwards out there that we can grab and I believe Raines has showcased what he can do and it hasnt taken him 3 years to prove it, it took him what his 1st and he already was a main fixture for us.

Hughes IMO is lazy, and really he needs to up his game some more especially since we probably wont have Richo after this year or next, plus I dont feel Riewoldt let alone Schulz have given us anything yet, even though Riewoldt is on his second year this is a must for him and Hughes to show us what they can do.

Its a very tough question as Raines has proved that he can play but last year he wasnt at his best. Whereas Hughes hasnt shown anything but we are crying out for Key Position Foward and he has good attributes which show that he could take over Richoman.

But I would say (even though neither of them should) delist Hughes as Raines has the runs on the board already. I think everyone was a little harsh on Raines' perfromances last year, we were all expecting games like when he shut down Riccuto. This can't happen every week and it also dosent help when Wallace is playing him on blokes like Riewoldt.

Let's give Raines a chance to prove us all wrong first.

I have little issue against Raines. However for some people not to have him in the 22 is just wrong i feel. I would have him in our 22 way before cleve and a few other players thats for sure.

I think this year may be a different year especially for Raines and for Hughes. IMO Hughes has to deliver or he can find himself a new home, Schulz and Riewoldt IMO are both competing for the top forward gig as Richo is more than likely going to sit back, but really with those two battling it out along with Hughes, Hughes is more than likely going to be the one stuck behind those two because he just doesnt have it, let alone show it that he is an AFL footballer, sure he's got into the AFL but really he needs to lift and give us something to look forward too, he has shown he can take marks, he has shown he can kick goals and also assist but truthfully this will probably be the final test for Hughes.

Do you guys realise you are the only club talking about delisting a player.. The season hasnt even started, shows how good your list is..

IMO if the tigers are to make the finals in the next 3 years, neither of these two players should be on your list.

Poor example as one is a KPP and the other is a flanker/midfielder. Try using another player similar to Raines if you want to make a point.
First bit of sense in a stupid thread. Compare apples to apples. Its all about list structure and these players are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Its like another brain dead pointless thread asking if we should have taken Neville instead of Silvestor. The structure is of paramount importance and we learned a painful lesson re: that just last year - our list was unbalanced with not enough talls - 2 go down - we're stuffed. Hughes vs Raines is a non-event just as much as Neville vs Silvestor.

cant believe you guys are talking delistings and especially about a bloke like Raines. He had an ordinary 2nd year but alot of players do. And I was devestated when my mob didnt grab Hughes in the draft and instead drafted Pfeiffer ( delisted.). Give him time

Well if you are making an argument over who is better, why not ask who will finish higher in the B&F?

Cause there have been talks on here that both should be delisted. However Raines would finish higher in the b&f i am sure of it

Which is a ridiculous subject to be talking about. Geez, Tiger Fans talking up a delisting before the season starts? You are giving Hawk and Blue fans a free ride here.

too early for this subject but gee rainse will be allright if the coaches teach him not to turn into trouble all the time i think he will be allright as for hughes this could be his year lets hope so.
