Jordan Lisle - (KPD / KPF) 12 July 1990, 196cm 87kg. VicM/Oakleigh Chargers/Carey Grammer

"Jason McCartney: Jordan Lisle: Jordan plays at centre-half back and has been really good over the three games. He’s disciplined, strong overhead and has great footy smarts. He rarely gets beaten in a contest and he also provided some good run from defence in the game against South Australia."

"Kevin Sheehan: Jordan Lisle – The tall defender has taken 13 marks and impressed down back."

"Sam Edmond: Forward who can take a good mark and has great agility for his size."

" giantroo: Does this guy have any relation to Mark Lisle from North?
Jazzadogs: Son of Mark. But not enough games for a father-son.
Jordan's always had really strong hands, is this still the case? unfortunately i was working today and missed the games. Is his best position back or forward? from my knowledge of Jordan's game, i would say he would be better placed as a forward...but in today's world, most young players are capable of being moulded into playing either end.
And what pick? Because some people are saying first round, others 2nd/3rd round?"

"jackson45:Jordan Lisle (Vic Metro) - big solid strong grab. Great leap and reasonably ahletic. Would be good at FF with some kicking practice though!"

"HFF 07JORDAN LISLE 196cm 87kg KPP Oakleigh Chargers/Carey Grammar
Very athletic big man who can play at either end, in a similar void as Adam Hunter (WCE), seems to lack some agility but will turn into a reliable kp back.
PROS: - Aerial pressure, Strong mark,
CONS: - Agility
PREDICTION: 25 - 45"

"foj1:: 23. Jordan Lisle 196cm 87kg Vic Metro
Yet another big man with a lot of upside. Very athletic and strong in the air. I see him developing into a key position player most likely in the back half. I am interested to see how he tests for agility as I have noticed a few times now that he has quite a wide turning circle and leads predominantly in straight lines. Reminds me a little of Drew Petrie at a similar age."

"ant555: Jordan Lisle – 196cm, 87kg – Oakleigh Chargers/Carey Grammar
Tall KP player who gets used at both ends of the ground. Good strong mark who has good foot skills and kicks the ball a long way. Has reasonably good pace and is a good defender. Has a bit of a question mark on his agility. His goal kicking is pretty reliable. To me he looks to have the makings of a good defender.
If his draft camp goes ok he will get taken second or third round."

"rizzo: Jordan Lisle - 87kg - 196cm - 12.07.1990
Very strong defender who will more than likely slip into the late first round category. Many will argue that he was the second best defender of the tournament, and I would not argue that they were wrong. He seems to be like Hurley, except tends to stay on his man and is more of a true defender. Has a nice spoil and reads the ball well coming into 50.
Skills - Reading of the play, Spoils, Body position"

"1Mitch1: Jordan Lisle- Vic Metro top aged player and AIS graduate- 196 cm and 87 kg. Huge bloke who had All-Australian in 2008 holding down centre half back. Plays TAC cup for Oakleigh Chargers. Has a fantastic mark and a booming kick. Very disciplined well drilled player who will never be out marked or beaten. Some say could go top 20 but ill settle for 20-30."

Ryan Schoenmakers - (F) 8 November 1990, 189cm 85kg. SA/Norwood/Tea Tree Gulley

"Jason McCartney: Ryan Schoenmakers – He only had it 12 times, but he looks a class act with the way he moves. He is a left-footer and has a good set of hands and agility. Ryan played as a defender early in the championships, but moved forward in the later stages, forming a strong attack with Lewis Johnston and Paul Cahill. He's got a really bright future."

"HFF 07: RYAN SCHOENMAKERS 189cm 85kg UTILITY Norwood
Long rangy left foot kick to compliment his strong aerial attributes, is a wonderful kick and really showed poinse throughout the championships, played in a variety of roles fro SA, Has good pace and is smart where he leads too,
PROS: - Marking, Pace, Footy smarts, Goal kicking,
CONS: - Size (to play AFL straight away), Engine,
PREDICTION: 20 - 40"

"ant555: Ryan Schoenmakers – 189cm, 85kg – Norwood.
Left foot CHF who had a good Champ series. Not overly tall for a CHF but moves well on the lead and takes a good mark. His pace is pretty good and he leads to the right areas on the ground. Skills are good and his goal kicking was pretty reliable.
I would be surprised if he does not get taken in the second or third rounds."

"rizzo: Ryan Schoenmakers - 85kg - 189cm - 08.11.1990
Like this bloke alot, and comes a cross as a genuine leadup half forward. Strong hands for a bloke between sizes and a nice penetrating kick. Gets a lot of depth into it and has no problems kicking from 40+ out. Made the most of playing second fiddle to Johnstone. He may be found out as being a bit short at AFL level, but if he can improve his running he could easily provide that half forward lead up role.
Skills - Kicking, Marking, Forward awareness"

Jordan Roughead - (R / KPF) 3 November 1990, 199cm 87kg. VicC/North Ballarat Rebels/Lake Wendouree

"Jason McCartney: Jordan Roughead – Playing against Naitanui, he didn’t get the same stats but managed to sneak forward for a goal. He competed really well early but what grabbed my attention, and it did against NSW/ACT as well, was his strength in the air. He's got a great overhead grab and good agility so he appears to have a promising future."

"???: Cousin of Hawthorn’s Jarryd, a good-sized mobile ruckman."

"HFF 07: Jordan Roughead 199cm 87kg RUCK/FF North Ballarat
Ruckmen who has a great leap and solid ruck skills, is competitive and is pretty mobile for a big guy, Has ample skills and is a good size to play AFL.
PROS: - Ruck skills, Leap, Agile/Mobile,
CONS: - Skinny, Pace (not sure how quick he is),
PREDICTION: 15 - 30"

"foj1:: 5. Jordan Roughead 199cm 87kg Vic Country
Roughead has improved markedly in the last year and is another player with a basketball background. Used predominantly in the ruck where he showcases his athleticism in ruck contests and around the ground. Rougheads hands continue to improve and is a dangerous player in the forward line. Roughead has wide shoulders and will develop into an imposing athlete after a few AFL preseasons."

"ant555: Jordan Roughead – 199cm, 87kg – North Ballarat.
Ruckman who possess a pretty good leap and good ruck skills. Gives a contest all day and is good around the ground. He is a solid mark and has nice right foot kicking skills. Is pretty mobile and gets to where he needs to be. Likes to push back into defence and fill the space. His pace is nothing to write home about but he can match it with most ruckmen. Have seen a couple of TAC Cup games where he has dropped a few marks that he should have taken.
Prediction – pick 12 to 40."

Rhys O'Keeffe - (D) 8 August 1990, 187cm 80kg. SA/North Adelaide/Kilburn

"Jason McCartney: Rhys O’Keeffe: Rhys is a left-footer, who like Broadbent, uses the ball really well. He played across half-back and also in the midfield. He had 20 disposals and showed he can win his own footy with three hard-ball-gets."

"Kevin Sheehan: Rhys O'Keeffe – A dashing medium-defender at 187cm, O'Keeffe, from North Adelaide, has also been prominent for his team in all three matches. Averaging 17 disposals, with four hard-ball gets, along with nine handball receives, indicates his ability to win the ball in contested situations, as well as provide great run through defence."

"Jason McCartney: Rhys O'Keeffe - He ended up with 20 disposals, but what I liked about him was that he had five hard-ball gets. He played as a rebounding, running half-back; he's a left-footer and he looks to be really hard at it. He runs the lines and is a straight ahead type of player. As a taller, running half-back, Rhys really complimented South Australia's key defenders. I thought on the day, he was one of their better players and I hadn't seen him before."

"Jason McCartney:Rhys O'Keeffe – Rhys was named South Australia's most valuable player. I saw him earlier in the carnival play off half-back and he was really neat. He doesn't waste the ball by foot, but he pushed into the midfield in the back end of the carnival and he was great. His work inside and run-and-carry helped the likes of Lewis Johnston, Ryan Schoenmakers and Paul Cahill in front of goal."

"HFF 07: RHYS O'KEEFE 187cm 80kg HBF/BP North Adelaide
Won alot of ball for SA in the champs running off HB, was always dangerous, kicking long off both sides of his body, was always running and has good work rate and is willing to suceed.
PROS: - Kicks long, work rate, Skills, Pace, Reads play well,
CONS - none to note thus far
PREDICTION: 15 - 35"

"ant555: Rhys O’Keefe – 187cm, 80kg – North Adelaide.
Running half back / midfielder who won a lot of the ball over the champs for SA. Has good pace and excellent skills. Kicks both sides and is a lovely long kick of the ball. Work rate and run from half back was excellent and he showed good touch when he was played in the middle. Smart around the stoppages.
Prediction – pick 10 to 30."

"Quigley: O’Keefe (DOB – 8/8/90, Ht – 187, Wt – 80)
Whereas you often have guys on Big Footy who become flavour of the month and are pumped up a lot more than is realistic there are others who are overlooked by most for no apparent reason. O’Keefe falls squarely into the latter category. You read the player reviews and I am yet to see a bad thing written about him and yet no-one has him going earlier than the late second round. For me I think he could easily be a sneaky late first rounder. Played predominantly on the half back flank in the Champs but moved to half forward against NSW and showed that he could also be a very dangerous half forward at AFL level. The thing that sets O’Keefe apart from virtually everyone in this draft is the quality of his disposal. He is probably in the top 5 for me as far as quality of disposal goes. He is a left footer who reads the play very well and delivers into the 50 as well as anyone available this year. He has good height for a midfield / flanker and is a solid young guy. He covers a fair bit of ground and although he does not have great pace he seems to be able to create separation from his match up fairly easily. He has good hands including overhead and can take a good mark. His quality kicking skills extend to his kicking for goal."

Neville Jetta - (SF) 12 February 1990, 178cm 75kg. WA/Swan Districts

"Jason McCartney: Neville Jetta – I've watched Neville the last couple of weeks and he is very exciting. He has great evasive skills and used the ball well against Country with 15 possessions. Playing further up the ground in a high half forward role he had seven inside 50s and three tackles. He really did show a bit and he's been quite consistent over the entire carnival."

"HFF 07: NEVILLE JETTA 178cm 75kg FP/HFF Swan Districts
Is an excting prospect, the cousin (I think) of Essendon's Leroy, posses the same attributes like his cousin, is explosive off the mark and has all the attributes to be a good small crumbing forward, it's wheter he can push into the midfield and make his mark that the jury is.
PROS: - Footy smarts, Explosive pace, Reads play well (stoppages, off packs),
CONS: - Engine, Size,
PREDICTION: 22 - 40"

"PAV for AA:7 Neville JETTA 12-Feb-90 178 75 Swan Districts
Worked hard All day
Perhaps too small to think about playing midfield next year.
Good disposal, ferocious tackler and Certainly creative in close
One of W.A’s better performed midfielders
Very quick first 5 steps and runs well at top speed.'Betts like'"

"foj1:: 45. Neville Jetta 178cm 75kg WA
Excitement machine who can kick goals, run quickly and do the exciting. Clubs looking for an exciting small forward will look at Jetta. The big question is whether Jetta can do the business in the midfield. The jury is out right now but he has the 2nd half of the season to show his wares."

"ant555: Neville Jetta – 178cm, 75kg – Swan Districts.
Small forward with great pace who can push up and find a bit of the ball through the middle of the ground. Mainly a right footer but does have a left side. His front and centre work is very good and he reads the play well. He missed a few easy goals in the game against Tassie at Casey but his kicking skills are generally good. His work rate is pretty good.
Could sneak up into the first round but I think he will end up going second or third round."

"TheBigUnit: Neville Jetta - hard to know where to fit him in, but I don't see a heck of a lot wrong with him. Creative, explosive, skilful, penetrating kick and a goal kicker but the thing that impresses me most is his physical edge - can dish out a fair hip and shoulder for a little lad - and his pestering/niggling and defensive pressure is very good."

Tom Rockliff - (SF) 22 November 1990, 183cm 83kg. VicC/Murry Bushrangers/Benella

"Quigley: Tom Rockliff – DOB 22/2/90 Ht 182 Wt 83
With the trading of Schneider and retirements over the next couple of years there are going to be a few openings in the Sydney forward line and Rockliff is a very nice prospect in this regard. Snagging a couple of players who are good in front of goal will definitely be on the Sydney shopping list I think.
Rockliff is probably a specialist small forward in the AFL and he is a very good prospect in this regard. As a likely lower round pick he could offer very good value for a team looking for help up forward. He had a broken ankle which put him out for the first half of the year but came back midway through the year for the Bushranger and finished the year with 40 goals from 12 matches to finish second overall in the TAC goal kicking. He is very clever around goal, is strong in the air and is a good shot. As a bottom aged player I think there is also plenty of development left in him."

"Kevin Sheehan: Tom Rockliff – A medium forward from the Murray Bushrangers, Rockliff has won a total of 26 contested possessions and 13 hard-ball gets. He has also taken eight contested marks and seven goals, to be third on the goalkicking table, which has been outstanding. He has also laid 12 tackles (ranked fourth overall), showing he is prepared to keep the ball inside the forward 50 for his team."

"Alan McConnell: Tom Rockliff - He was a very good player, booting four goals."

"???: Forward who uses his body well and is a good converter."

"HFF 07: TOM ROCKLIFF 183cm 83kg FP/HFF/MID Murray Bushrangers
Strong in the marking contest for his size and knows where the goals are, is a genuine goal sneak, the jury is our on wheter he can go through the midfield, but is a class act and a multiple goal kicker this year in the TAC cup,
PROS: - Goal sneak, Skills, Marking, Crumbing work,
CONS: - Athleticism, Pace,
PREDICTION: 15 - 35"

"footy draft07: Tom Rockliff
November 22nd, 2007
Tom Rockliff – Murray Bushrangers
180cm, 78kg Junior position: Forward/midfield
Projected AFL position: Medium sized forward
Forward/midfield Medium sized forward Strengths - Goal sense, Overhead skills for size, Strength.
Weaknesses - Athleticism
Question marks - Lacks a big resume because of a long term injury as a 16 year old. Was he a flash in the pan in the second half of the TAC Cup season, or is he the real deal?
Comments - Rockliff came out of extreme obscurity right into draft calculations after making his TAC Cup debut in Round 10 this year. He suffered a bad leg injury at the U/16 Nationals in 2006, so he had no pre-season this year.
When he finally debuted with the Bushrangers he was an instant hit, kicking seven and six goals in his second and third games respectively. He’s not overly athletic, but more of a natural footballer and he plays the role of a small/medium sized forward well.
He is a bottom aged player with very good goal sense. Apart from two games this year he was almost deadly accurate, kicking 40.20 (literally half of his behinds came in two separate games) and leading the Bushrangers goal kicking off only half a season. His disposal in general is usually quite good. The team’s resurgence literally started when he made his debut and the only TAC Cup loss he has ever played in was the Grand Final.
His overhead skills much better than you would expect for someone standing 180cm, so he can play a bit taller than he really is, but his work at ground level makes him a dangerous threat when the ball hits the deck. He has a livewire style, so given his versatility it makes him a very good option that may present match up difficulties if he continues to develop.
Rockliff has a stocky sort of build and a good attack on the ball. He has a strong upper body, which he uses to burst through traffic and break tackles – but on top of this he’s also elusive so he can be difficult to catch but once caught, still difficult to tackle. He would have a fair bit of work to do as far as playing in the midfield, but he has had some promising stints on the ball for the Bushrangers.
There is a lot to like about Rockliff and he would be rated a lot higher if he had perhaps played the full season, represented Vic Country and did all the things that everyone else with more fanfare did. Still considered slightly speculative because of his comparative lack of experience, but has certainly done enough to wind up on an AFL list and to suggest he can succeed.
Hard to gauge where he’ll get drafted. Likely third round, but a possible bolter on the day.
Stats - 2007 TAC Cup Season, 12 games played, 40.2, 131 kicks (106 of them effective), 83 hanballs (70 effective), 54 tackles, 18 contested marks, 33 uncontested marks."

"foj1:: 48. Tom Rockliff 183cm 83kg Vic Country
Rockliff is a dangerous small forward who is very clever and unusually good in the air for his size. The rejuvenation of Paul Medhurst may have helped young Tom’s cause as there is a place in the AFL. However like Robbie Gray, Rockliff’s athleticism is a big query and held him from being picked up last year. Had a few attempts at running through the midfield during the Nationals and wasn’t convincing for mine. Will he be the next Dean Kelly or will someone take a chance?"

"ant555: Tom Rockliff – 183cm, 83kg – Murray Bushrangers.
Small forward who was very good in last years TAC Cup final series but was over looked in last years draft. Has been a consistent player at Tac Cup level kicking bags of 6 plus goals on numerous occasions. The question mark he has on him is his athleticism and his pace. He is not overly quick and does not posses a big leap or a tight turning circle.
He has had some time in the midfield but he is a work in progress there and his results have been steady without showing anything to get over excited about. Towards the end of the year his results in the middle have been better.
As a forward he is very dangerous. He takes a strong mark and his crumbing work is excellent. He had a reasonable champ series and he kept his work rate up throughout. Even when things where not going his away in the goal department he was finding a bit of the ball and getting some score assists on the board.
What happens at draft camp will determine whether Tom gets drafted. If the results are good then expect someone to have a good look at him. If the results are poor then clubs will more than likely pass again."

"1Mitch1: Tom Rockliff- Vic country top aged player- 183 cm and 83 kg. He is a hard player to pick where he is at. And i think the draft camp will determine where he will be taken. Great mark for his side and a sharp set shot but is lazy and doesnt have a great atitude. He is with the Murray Bushrangers and has been told by their staff that he is one of their most talented players to come through but needs to work harder off field if he wants to go somewhere. I have spoken to some reliable sources about him and they think he will be a huge risk but he does ooze talent and class. He Kicked bags of goals for Vic country and is very consistent for Murray Bushrangers getting in the best nearly every game along with a few BOG. I rate him highly but want to see him improve off the field. 40 +"

Clancee Pearce - (SD) 23 October 1990, 183cm 85kg. WA/Swan Districts

"Jason McCartney: Clancee Pearce – Clancee was good again, winning 20 disposals, and had four hard-ball gets through the midfield. He's hard at the contest and he had a couple of centre clearances. He's proficient on the run with his kicking, without being exceptional, but when kicking in from a stationary position, he turned it over a few times."

"Jason McCartney: Clancee Pearce – He ended up with 26 disposals and was voted by Western Australia's coaching staff as its MVP. Clancee was very consistent off half-back and he backs himself. He loves to run with the footy and although he makes a few blues along the way, he actually takes the game on and tries to make something happen."

"HFF 07: CLANCEE PEARCE 183cm 85kg HBF/BP Swan Districts
Small utility player who is hard at it, loves a contest and wont shirk one when the ball is in dispute, some queries linger over his ability to rotate through the midfield.
PROS: - Tough, Runs the lines, Hard,
CONS: - Pace?? (Not sure), Engine,
PREDICTION: 15 - 35"

"PAV for AA:23 Clancee PEARCE 23-Oct-90 183 85 Swan Districts
Probably the BOG for W.A along with Walters from a HBF
Reads the play Very well, chopped off a few forays forward simply by reading the ball off the boot before his man
Moves well in traffic, Good disposal
Very Good closing speed
Well built one preseason would be enough to get him “AFL Ready”
Hits his targets well by foot, low ball drop ensures safety with kicks but slows his disposal time, may have to be wary of this at the next level."

"foj1:: 29. Clancee Pearce 183cm 85kg WA
Bull at a gate utility who runs in fast straight lines when the footy is in dispute and likes to break lines from half back. A query with Pearce may be his ability to rotate through the midfield however players like Brett Jones and Henry Slattery have made solid careers at half back."

"ant555: Clancee Pearce – 183cm, 85kg – Swan Districts.
Solid running half back who simply demands the ball. Goes in hard to find it and sets up a lot of play through the corridor. Reasonably good pace and good kicking skills on the right side. Work rate is very good and is good at ground level. Good in traffic. Defensive side of his game is pretty good.
Prediction – pick 12 to 30."

"TheBigUnit: Clancee Pearce - love his composure and cool head in defence. Someone that could definitely end up a backline general type. Has performed very well for SD at WAFL level - particularly in finals and at crunch stages too."

Paul Cahill - (KPF) 19 August 1990, 192cm 80kg. SA/Sturt/Mitcham Hawks

"Jason McCartney: Paul Cahill – From limited opportunities up forward he continues to look a handy player. His kicking isn't super, but his athleticism is impressive. If South Australia can get the ball quickly into its forward line, Cahill can use his great vertical leap to his side's advantage. He kicked one goal against Western Australia."

"Jason McCartney: Paul Cahill - He came to our December AIS camp as one of the athletes who was close to getting a scholarship and we wanted to have a look at him. Paul stands at 192cm and he has a massive vertical leap, and he uses his great spring in the way he plays. He was pretty lively at full-forward and I thought he really turned the game for South Australia in the second half when he pushed out to centre half-forward. He only had the 10 disposals and kicked two goals, but he took five contested marking and stood out in the third quarter. Something happened around him all the time and if he didn't win the ball, he made sure the crumbers got it, so he was important throughout the game."

"Gozz: Paul Cahill is a Sturt player from SANFL and is an absolute gun. Plays at CHF and is an amazing athlete with great hands. Dominated for SA against Tasmania and although he is not very well known I can guarantee he will be a bargain pickup. Especially for a team like Carlton who are in dire need of a CHF. Still pretty thin but he has been hitting the weights hard recently and is starting to fill out. He is very similar to Buddy Franklin in playing style but sadly that includes his kicking as he usually kicks scores like 6 goals 6 behinds. Watch out for him in SA's state matches. Mark my words, if Cahill is drafted he will be a gun."

"RooDog: I have seen a lot of Paul Cahill, last year i thought he'd be a certaintity to get drafted, this year im a little more apprhensive just dont know if he's up to it, last year he was a big kid playing against a lot of smaller kids, unbelievable hands but can be to selfish at times for my liking."

"down with rangas: Man no joke this guy is a gun. I played against him in the School KO competition and he absolutely dominated in the ruck and kicked 9.4 and took 20 marks or something. He has an absolutely huge vertical leap and I hope he gets drafted.
He also won the Macullum medal which is the U17 SANFL Brownlow even though he played about 5 games for U19.
He kicked 7 in State U18 trial match as well. And got 3rd Best in the State U18 match against Tassie."

"HFF 07: PAUL CAHILL 192cm 80kg KPP Sturt
Is an athletic forward option who was super impressive by all reports, has a massive vertical leap and may become a handy player at the next level. Tall forward who has strong clean hands, was always willing to present and worked hard right throughout the championships, is pretty mobile for a big bloke.
PROS: - Mobile, Marking, work rate, Athletic, Height, Size,
CONS: - Goal kicking, Skills, Kicking,
PREDICTION: 45 - 70"

"ant555: Paul Cahill – 192cm, 80kg – Sturt.
Tall forward with good pace and a strong mark. Work rate and leading during the champs was excellent. Seemed to have a good handle on where to lead and how to work in with the other tall forwards. He is very athletic and mobile. He is not the best kick going around but he did manage to kick goals in all the games.
Can’t see a mobile tall like this bloke going much further back than fourth round."

"rizzo: Paul Cahill - 80kg - 192cm - 19.08.1990
Different type of key forward. He uses his explosive pace to get away from his man. Generally don’t find that in a guy that is 192cm. Nice mark and a beautiful set shot for goal. This guy will be there an abouts come draft time. Would love to see him play more out of CHF, tends to spend more time between goal and 30m out.
Skills - Speed, Marking, Set shot"

Matthew Broadbent - (IM / OM) 1 August 1990, 189cm 81kg. SA/Woodville West Torrens/Henley

"Draft Prospectus: Broadbent is a midfielder who is damaging as both an inside and outside player. His best performances as a junior came in the 2006 NAB AFL Under-16 Championships where he ranked third in division one for handballs, equal fourth for hardball-gets and equal sixth in the handball-receives. In 2007 he played two games for South Australia in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and also made seven appearances in the SANFL reserves for Woodville-West Torrens."

"Jason McCartney: Matthew Broadbent – An AIS boy, Matty was a really solid contributor. He had 15 disposals and four rebound 50s, but his hands are really good in close. He had a run-with role with Daniel Rich, Western Australia's captain, and I thought Matty did an exceptional job."

"???: I was a bit surprised in the last quarter when they moved Matty back to half-back. He has been solid in both matches for South Australia and is one to keep having a look at."

"Jason McCartney: Matthew Broadbent: Matty is very good in close. His disposal is effective by both hand and foot and he’s been quite consistent throughout the championships. Against Vic Metro he finished up with 21 possessions and three hard-ball-gets. He had a really good, solid four-quarter performance."

"Jason McCartney: Matthew Broadbent – Matthew has been very consistent throughout all games. He has been averaging 14 or 15 disposals throughout the carnival and he gained 14 against Vic Country, with five inside 50s and four rebounds. I think he really set the game up for South Australia with his attack on the footy. He also carried it and played with great intent. To just watch his game against Vic Country, you would think he had more stats than he did – such was his big influence on the game, so that was great."

"HFF 07: MATTHEW BROADBENT 189cm 81kg UTLITY Woodville-West Torrens
A classy mover, plays mainly as a half backmen but can move into the midfield and have an influence, runs the lines and can kick the ball a long way, is not scared to take the game.
PROS: - Kicking, Defensive pressure, Takes game on, Run and carry, Good hands in close, Tackling, 1%,
CONS: - none to note thus far
PREDICTION: 15 - 35"

"foj1:: 15. Matthew Broadbent 189cm 81kg SA
Athletic tall midfielder/utility with a good tank and very clean hand and foot skills. Could play flanks, wings and through the middle at AFL level. Is able to win own ball and can also be a link up player. May not be rated quite so high by others but I think he does all things pretty well and is the right size and shape."

"ant555: Matthew Broadbent – 189cm, 81kg – Woodville-West Torrens.
Has played mainly half back or run with roles but he looks like a kid who can play a natural midfield role as well. He has pretty good pace and has good hands in close. Uses the ball well by foot as well. Runs hard all day and when he plays at half back he is prepared to run and make an option or run and carry the ball. Gave SA good drive in most games. Despite his defensive roles he managed to find a bit of the as well.
Prediction – pick 12 to 40."

"rizzo: Matthew Broadbent - 81kg - 189cm - 01.08.1990
Extremely agile, a real silky mover. Always in and around the packs, but i would see him as an outside player. Has a nice height about him which could see him play a Darren Milburn type role at an AFL club. He is able to take a hit as well. The only downside to his game is that he is between heights. Not quick enough to play on the smalls and not tall enough to play effectively on the talls. He still has a lot of growing to do.
Skills - Run and carry, Agility, A real play setter off half back"

Mitchell Banner - (SF / IM) 5 June 1990, 178cm 77kg. VicM/Western Jets/Werribee Jnrs

"Jason McCartney: Mitch Banner – Consistent throughout, Mitch won 28 disposals and is very hard-at-it. He is very good around the clearances and works well both ways – rebounding and sending the ball inside 50. He shows a fair bit of courage, particularly overhead, so that's a really good sign. He finished with two goals and had the complete game, capping off a fine carnival."

"HFF 07: MITCHELL BANNER 178cm 77kg MID Western Jets
Has racked up some big numbers in the midfield for the Jets this season, including 8, 30 plus games, has kicked multiple goals on several occasions, but for his poor decions making he would be a certain 1st 2 round draftee. Will be picked up by someone though.
PROS: - Hard, Tough, Clearances, Gut runner,
CONS: - Decision Making, Size, Kicking,
PREDICTION: 20 - 40"

"ant555: Mitch Banner – 178cm, 77kg – Western Jets.
Midfield ball magnet who gets in and under and finds the ball as well as providing a running option. Does a lot of good work at the stoppages and simply runs all day. Can kick a fair way on the right side but he can kick some ordinary balls and his decision making can be great one minute and rather poor the next. He is pretty good by hand and his marking skills are pretty good. Has racked up some big numbers in his TAC Cup career including eight 30 plus possession games over the last couple of seasons. Can kick multiple goals when he goes forward. If his decision making and kicking skills where a bit sharper he would be a lock for the first round.
With the amount of ball he does find I don’t think you will see his name on the board when the fourth round starts."

"X boy X: Mitch Banner is one I have been keeping an eye on when reading reports and stats. His stats are very impressive. I believe he did very well for the Jets last season as a 16-year-old, and this year in his five games he is averaging 26 disposals, four tackles, nine handball receives and two shots on goal each game.
Last year in nineteen games he also averaged 26 disposals, 3.5 tackles and kicked a return of 31.15, including hauls of six, five and four goals - as a midfielder."

Jamie Sheahan - (OM / IM) 11 August 1990, 178cm 73kg. VicC/Murry Bushrangers/Mansfield

"Jason McCartney: Jamie Sheahan – He's a boy from the Murray Bushrangers and is schooling at Assumption College. In the first quarter, he was matched up against Ranga Ediriwickrama, but they played off each other a fair bit. He's a really nippy midfielder and is a good disposal of the ball."

"???: He's got a few tricks and has a good sidestep, so he was quite prominent for Vic Country. Jamie finished with 21 disposals. He took a couple of contested marks. So for his size at 178cm – he actually knows how to use his hips really well in a marking situation and he provided some good drive and had five inside 50s."

"Jason McCartney: Jamie Sheahan – Very clever with his hands, good in close and uses the ball effectively. For a small player he is good overhead as well. He ended up with 17 disposals and has had a pretty consistent carnival. The standard was set pretty early by the Country boys and Jamie had a lot to do with that. He showed they were going to be a tough team to beat and it proved correct."

"Jason McCartney: Jamie Sheehan – If you could mirror image his set shots at goal and give it to any other young kid, you wouldn't go far wrong. He's really composed, really relaxed and technically sound, finishing with three goals. He burrows in really hard; he's strong through the hips and can shrug off tackles really well. I thought he was best-on-ground."

"HFF 07: JAMIE SHEEHAN 178cm 73kg MID/HF Murray Bushrangers
No fuss, no frills inside mid, gets his own ball, was superb up forward as a small forward when moved their and was really clever with some nice crumbing goals off the feet of the big Vic Country boys.
PROS: - Tough, Contested ball, Goal kicking, Tackling, Pace, Clearance,
CONS: - Kicking, Size,
PREDICITION: 15 - 30"

"jackson45:Jamie Sheahan (Vic Country) - just throws himself into a contest, only small but strong, quick, and good user of the ball."

"ant555: Jaime Sheahan – 178cm, 73kg – Murray Bushrangers.
There is not much of him but he simply knows how to play. He goes in hard all day and is a very clever player. Plays both inside and outside and really knows how to find the ball at the stoppages. Had five clearances in the last quarter against SA and was one player who gave Country some real drive and put some respect back into the game. Kicks the ball on both sides and works well as a small forward. His crumbing work around the forward line is excellent. His down side can be his kicking. He is not a really long kick and he can grub or bounce the ball to team mates under pressure but he is a reasonably reliable kick. Kicks goals from set shots out to about 45 metres with good accuracy. His good pace and clearance work may well see him move up the draft ladder a bit.
The downsides will be his shortish kicking and his light frame.
Prediction – pick 15 to 40."

"TheBigUnit: Jamie Sheahan - haven't seen many play with as much energy and enthusiasm as he does, just always seem to get himself involved somehow. Definitely one of my favourites - wish I got to see more of him play."

Jarred Redden - (R) 27 December 1990, 202cm 88kg. SA/Woodville West Torrens/Southern Eagles

"HFF 07: JARRED REDDEN 202cm 88kg RUCK/DEFENDER Woodville West Torrens
Is developing nicely into a ruckmen, moves around the ground well and plays defensively well, could be more offensive in his movement and even be able to play forward,
PROS: - Nice hands, Tap work OK, Defensive pressure good,
CONS: - Offensive game, Marking,
PREDICTION: open 40 - 70"

"foj1:: 34. Jarrad Redden 202cm 88kg SA
Developing tall who moves around the ground well. Plays a kick behind the play well and is beginning to take his marks. I would like him to go forward and be dangerous which Vickery, McKernan and Natanui are more capable of doing this at this stage. In a draft full of good talls it will be interesting where Redden ends up."

"ant555: Jarred Reddan – 202cm, 88kg –Woodville /West Torrens
Ruckman from SA who has pretty good ruck skills and reads the play pretty well. Has good pace for a ruckman and does some good work around the ground. His skills are pretty good and his second efforts in the ruck contests are also good.
Looks to be a nice ruck prospect for clubs looking to grab a ruckman in the third or fourth round."

"rizzo: Jarrad Redden - 88kg - 202cm - 27.12.1990
A nice tap ruckman who really sets the play up from the middle. He is ok around the ground, but he will need to work on that. If he is drafted, it will be for his rucking ability. Has a nice leap and good timing. I’m not sure if it was the quality of players he had under him, or him but he hit a lot of the ball to advantage.
Skills - Good verticle leap, Timing, Tapwork"

"TheBigUnit: Jarrad Redden - haven't seen much of him and may slip just outside the range, but apart from his height, his competitiveness and 2nd efforts really standout - would be my pick for a project ruckman (after the Naita and Vickery, of course). Prefer both him and Rhys Stanley to Roughead from what I've seen - better mobility around the ground."

Kade Klemke - (SD) 15 July 1990, 180cm 78kg. NSW/ACT RAMS/Murry Bushrangers

"Jason McCartney: Kade Klemke – Across half-back, he continually read the play well. He seems to have a really good head on his shoulders and I would think he has got really good leadership capabilities as well."

"???: His decision-making has also been good, although he did make one poor decision late in the game, when he played on from deep in defence. He went to dish off and Vic Country intercepted and got a goal out of it. But he was really solid all day and held his side's backline together. He finished with 16 disposals."

"Jason McCartney: Kade Klemke – He had 20 disposals across half-back and in the midfield. He has really good composure and he showed once again great composure. He tends to set himself up in a zoning position across half-back. He repels a lot of attacks from the opposition."

"Kevin Sheehan: Kade Klemke – The medium defender has been among NSW/ACT's most consistent performers. He is ranked fifth in disposals (55 at an average of 18.3) and is second in uncontested marks (17). Klemke has shown an ability to read the play across half-back and judges the ball well when in flight, showing great courage in the air."

"Jason McCartney: Kade Klemke - He looked really good. He played across half-back and read the play well. He used the ball efficiently and had 18 disposals and took eight marks. It was the way he read the play that impressed. He got into position well to receive the switch. He looked very assured as well."

"Jason McCartney: Kade Klemke – Again, he was good across half-back. He was opposed to Tom Scully at times and although Tom probably got away from him at times, Kade was really good overhead and made really good decisions. He had 19 disposals and provided great rebound – eight times – and was good in-and-around the stoppages in the back-half. Kade has been really consistent throughout the championships and I watched him play for the Murray Bushrangers last week and he was rock solid again."

"HFF 07: KADE KLEMKE 180cm 78kg HBF Murray Bushrangers
Was the quaterback of the NSW/ACT lineup, reppeled alot of forrays forward and was extremely creative with his run and carry, an AA in the championships, Klemke will be a steal come draft day, one must wonder where he will end up.
PROS: - Ball skills, Reads play well, Footy smarts, Leadership,
CONS: - none to note
PREDICTION: 35 - 65"

"ant555: Kade Klemke – 180cm, 78kg –NSW/ACT Rams /Murray Bushrangers.
Tough hard at it half back who had a good champ series for NSW. Goes in hard, tackles hard and looks like he enjoys the physical aspects of the game. Is not overly quick but does have a little dash which along with his strength helps him break away from the opposition. His work rate and tackling is very good and he finds a lot of the ball simply because he is prepared to work hard and keep going all day. He is pretty reliable by hand and chooses good options with his hand ball. He seems to read the play very well.
If he has one problem it is the fact that because he is not overly quick he can get caught having to dispose of the footy quickly. This leads to him having a few kicks that he simply has to bang onto the boot and hope for the best.
If he is not taken at some stage later in the ND I will be surprised."

"rizzo: Kade Klemke -78kg - 180cm - 15.07.1990
Kade is an interesting one. He is a magnet that is for sure. I think at times his disposal lets him down a bit. A nice size and build for a player. Has the ability to sit off half back or run through the midfield which is a bonus. Disposal lets him down a bit. He tends to just bomb away rather than look for a target. Also lacks an opposite foot at times.
Skills - Versitile, Ball getting"

Riley Milne - (KPD) 20 July 1990, 192cm 78kg. VicC/Murry Bushrangers/Mooroopna

"Jason McCartney: Riley Milne – A tall and lean key defender who had escaped my attention in the first couple of games. He really impressed early with his attack on the footy and courage to play in front. He was good overhead and also ended up winning a bit of footy, with 18 disposals and six rebound 50s."

"HFF 07: RILEY MILNE 192cm 78kg CHB/FB Murray Bushrangers/Mooroopana
A skinny yet competitive key defender, was really hard at the ball and was also a good rebounding option, was always on the ball and will be one that is looked at come draft day.
PROS: - Attack on the footy, Marking, Rebound,
CONS: - Body size
PREDICTION: 70+"

"ant555: Riley Milne – 192cm, 78kg – Murray Bushrangers.
Tall defender who was reasonable for Country during the champ series. His defensive skills are pretty good and he reads the ball coming into the opposition forward line well.
Has reasonable pace for a tall. Skills are pretty good and he works hard to provide some rebound when he can. Has had some TAC games where he has had very good numbers playing at CHB. Takes a lot of marks most weeks and plays in front a lot.
I think he is a good project defender for later in the draft."

"1Mitch1: Riley Milne- Vic Country top aged player- 192 cm and 78 kg. Has really come on this season. Played every game for Vic country holding down the full back position. Evasive and very silky for his size and has great skills. Has been part of the highly successful Murray Bushrangers side over the last 2 seasons and is one that would be a perfect pick up for the swans late in the draft. 60 +"

"TheBigUnit: Riley Milne - smooth mover for a tall defender and his rebounding ability really stood out. Seems a likely type as a rebounding third tall in defence."

Christopher Hall - (SF) 25 June 1990, 179cm 65kg. SA/Woodville West Torrens/Flinders Park

"Jason McCartney: Christopher Hall – There is a bit of quality about him. He played half-forward and does go through the midfield at times. He uses the ball exceptionally well and he had 15 disposals against Western Australia. He goes and wins his own ball – he had three hard-ball gets – and he is quite clever with his stoppage work around the ground."

"???: He had five clearances for the match. He kicked a couple of goals in South Australia's previous match against Tasmania, so he's someone who has jumped out in the last couple of weeks."

"Jason McCartney: Christopher Hall – He's been quite classy throughout all of South Australia's matches. Chris was opposed at times to Steele Sidebottom and he did really well with his 20 disposals, including 11 contested. He was good around the stoppages and quite clever with six clearances. He's got quick hands and more importantly he does use the ball really well by foot. He's also a nice mover and finisher on the run."

"foj1:: 31. Christopher Hall 179cm 65kg SA
Built more like Lleyton Hewitt than an AFL footballer however he possesses great speed and has played SANFL this year. Possesses nice disposal and makes good decisions with the footy. Will need to bulk up significantly but clubs are always looking for speed and this kid has it."

"ant555: Chris Hall – 179cm, 65kg – Woodville / West Torrens.
Small forward/midfielder who is very light. Very good pace and skills and is excellent at ground level. Runs hard through the middle and has good hands and is very creative with his disposal. Right foot kicking is good. Marking skills looked ok. Was dangerous in and around the forward line. Roving skills in the forward line where good.
Classy little player who should get picked up second to fourth round."

"rizzo: Chris Hall - 65kg - 179cm - 25.06.1990
Really really light on, but you wouldn’t notice it. Didn’t have big wraps for him originally but stood out in the carnival. Love his ability to dash and run. He is no slouch, and isn’t afraid to take players on. This is what i really like. A player who has the ability to pack themselves at this age is going to be a good player. Is a good tackler to, a real under the radar player this one.
Skills - Tackling, Speed, Faith in his ability"

"TheBigUnit: Chris Hall - lot of very attractive attributes, but will need a shitload of physical development to reach AFL standard. Would be a worthwile project past the 3rd round."

Jordan Jones - (KPF / KPD) 26 June 1990, 190cm 90kg. VicC/Geelong Falcons/Ocean Grove

"bEnJi: Here is a smokey defender from Vic Country, Jordan Jones. Watched him today at the champs was very impressed knew nothing of him but has good size 190, 90kg and not only beat his opponent but provided some good run out of the defensice 50 and had good disposal. As a hawk supporter i will be watching him close come draft time."

"ant555: Jordan Jones – 190cm, 90kg - Geelong Falcons.
Has played mainly as a CHF or CHB at under 18 level. His rebound and run from defence is pretty good and his skills are pretty good although he can have some days where he does miss targets and kicks poorly. Overall his defensive skills have been ok but he has had games in defence where he has struggled to contain the better forwards and has had to be moved into attack. His goal kicking has been ok but he has never had any games where he has kicked big bags of goals.
Fourth round or later."

"Beats: # 49 – Hawthorn – Jordan Jones
Reasons – another tall back, probably looked at to play on the third tall at afl level"

"???: Jordan Jones- Another massive boy that can pretty much play where ever he likes and loves to take a big pack mark"

"rizzo: Geelong....I like the look of Jordan Jones from the falcons. Think he should be around and abouts there. Obviously would prefer a Hurley, Lisle etc, but i would be shocked if there at our pick (30 odd)."

"coin_toss: This kid is the real deal. I've been very impressed with him, he's been a rock in the backline and has won his own ball too, listed as 189cms and 86kgs, I think he will grow into a key-position player but he will need to wait another year because he is bottom-age."
"weaver: Needs to stop wandering off chasing kicks. Looks great running the ball out of the backline - but then he stops and watches the game - instead of working back into position. He'll learn."

Rory Sloane - (SD) 17 March 1990, 182cm 76kg. VicM/Eastern Rangers/Upwey-Tecoma

"HFF 07: RORY SLOANE 182cm 76kg BP/HBF Eastern Rangers
Small defender who has good defensive skills and nice pace, is an in and under type player who can win his own ball inside or outside, can let himself down with his disposal.
PROS: - Tough, Hard, 1%,
CONS: - Disposal, Size,
PREDICTION: 45 - 70"

"ant555: Rory Sloane – 182cm, 76kg – Eastern Rangers.
Small defender/midfielder with good defensive skills and pretty good pace. Played mainly half back or BP during the champs and did a pretty good job handling the opposition small forwards. In the TAC Cup he has mainly played midfield and is a good in and under player who can get in and find the ball. He is pretty creative by hand. The main thing that lets him down is his disposal by foot. He can be very hit and miss on a bad day. There is not much of him but he will give you 100% all the time.
He has form over two seasons in the TAC Cup so I think clubs would be looking at him later in the draft."

"ant555: Genuine midfielder. Bit on the small side. Kicking skills are not overly good and but are reasonable most of the time. Pace ok but not electric. Can run all day and knows how to find the footy. One of the borderline players that could be drasfted late."

"TGR: Would be a chance to go late this year. Is bottom aged but would benefit greatly from another year in the TAC for mine to work on his skills. It could get him drafted a bit up the order next year."

"molans: Yes, thats right. Missed several matches with a broken arm.
My Dad works with his Mum.
And he told me that there was interest from North Melbourne and Adelaide last year and he was told by Adelaide that if he entered the draft last year, they would have taken him with their last pick. but he decided to do the extra year in the TAC cup. But he broke his arm at the start of the year and missed the first couple of matches. He plaed his first game in round five and kicked 2 goals and had 21 touches.
hopfully he can have a good season and get drafted to an afl club"
"Vic Crow: Anyway, I quite like him. Wouldn't have minded him at Adelaide, but our strategy of drafting quite small forced our hand in taking Aaron Kite with our last live pick. The club rates Kite, but Rendell did say that he was the only player we took out or order from our 'best available' list because of his height. That indicates there was a crop of smaller players that we did rate higher than Kite. Maybe Sloane was in that group and got unlucky."

"HBF: I like him as well. Moves well, and is good around the goals. Clubs would most certainly look at him, but would be a late selection."

James Strauss - (SD) 14 June 1990, 185cm 81kg. VicM/Oakleigh Chargers/Scotch College

"Future Star: James Strauss 185cm 85cm BP/HPF/Midfielder Oakleigh Chargers/ Scotch College
A quick and hard running midfielder who excelled as a small backman in Vic Metro winning carnival
PROS: Quick/Agile, Wonderful kick, Strong build,
CONS: Often can go missing from a match
Prediction: 35-60"

"ant555: James Strauss – 185cm, 81kg –Oakleigh Chargers / Scotch College.
Used mainly as a small defender for Metro during the champs and he did well finding a bit of the ball and running the lines from half back. He is a pretty reliable right foot kick and generally uses the ball well although like a lot of others he can have patchy periods by foot. At TAC Cup level he has been used at half back a lot with game time on the wing or in the middle as well. His pace is reasonably good and his best games have featured him moving the footy through the middle of the ground and spotting up targets inside 50. His tackling is good. The defensive aspects of his game are good and in most games he gets involved and finds records reasonable numbers.
Not a super star but a good third, fourth or fifth round prospect."

"Cruiser23: James Strauss - 28 touches, 18 handball recieves and 5 marks. 185cm half back flanker with very good disposal by foot."
"TGR: This would be my ideal pick 24, but I reckon he may be gone by then."

"Cruiser23: Strauss did stand out in the first half, dropped off a little in the second for mine but his kicking is very good, pin point accuracy. There was one passage on the wing i think in the second quarter where he put 3, 4, 5 efforts chasing from one 50 to the other, impressive."

"Cruiser23: James Strauss:
Another quality game from Strauss, he's growing on me more and more every time i watch him play.
Was at a few centre clearances today which i haven't seen him do to often, adapted pretty well. Disposal was very good again considering the conditions, has a long right boot on him. Like the second efforts and pressure he puts on, shows he has both a defensive side and attacking side to his game. He also shows plenty of poise under pressure and rarely fumbles. Got plenty of ball across half back and through the middle, especially in the second half."

"TheBigUnit: James Strauss - Showed a lot in the VM/WA game. Has poise, can run and carry the footy well and neat skills. Would thrive on a ground like Subi I reckon with his running ability."

Luke Shuey - (IM) 2 June 1990, 185cm 84kg. VicM/Oakleigh Chargers/Marcellin College

"Jason McCartney: Luke Shuey: Luke had 18 disposals, five clearances and also snared a couple of goals playing through the midfield and across half-forward. He plays with a really good intensity and, even though he got rushed with a few disposals on Saturday, when he had those opportunities to finish around goal, he did."

"HFF 07: LUKE SHUEY 185cm 84kg MID Oakleigh Chargers/Marcelin College
Has a good size about him, is tough in the contest and can win his own ball.
PROS: - Tough, Size,
CONS: - Skills, Pace,
PREDICTION: 60 - 90"

"foj1:: 43. Luke Shuey 185cm 84kg Vic Metro
Shuey has an AFL build to be a ground and pound midfielder. Shuey can certainly get the ball and takes his turn to put the head over the ball. Shuey’s kicking can be a bit hit and miss which will concern scouts and you would like to see Shuey run through the lines a bit more often. I think Shuey has a bit of upside as he is another player who has played Private school footy which I feel stifles your development a little unless you are a superstar in the Judd/ Ball class."

"ant555: Luke Shuey – 185cm, 81kg – Oakleigh Chargers/Marcellin College.
Midfielder/small forward with pretty good pace and ok skills. Did not really dominate during the champs but did his bit when it was his turn to play in the middle. Seems to be pretty good around the stoppages and a pretty good reader of the game. Gets good numbers most weeks in the TAC Cup when school footy commitments have allowed him to play.
I would think he will end up in the mix somewhere mix third round and onwards."

"Beats: #52 Luke Shuey – If he slides this far we’ll take him, Nuggety midfielder who I liken to a faster brock Mclean with less skill, Vic Metro best and fairest winner, I see him as a late second rounder, but a bad draft camp and he’ll slide."

"VinnieVegas69: Luke Shuey (Oakleigh Chargers) - Good size, bit of versatility, plays inside and out."

"Beats: #52 – Luke Shuey – If he slides this far we’ll take him, Nuggety midfielder who I liken to a faster brock Mclean with less skill, Vic Metro best and fairest winner, I see him as a late second rounder, but a bad draft camp and he’ll slide."

"Ben the Gooner: 23 Luke Shuey: Played well, got a fair bit of the ball. Has nice skills. One a one-on-four at ground level, which was impressive."

"TheBigUnit: Luke Shuey - seems a very team orientated player. Would fit in real well at a club like Sydney."

Taylor Gilchrist - (F / D) 19 October 1990, 189cm 70kg. VicM/Sandringham Dragons/Caulfield Grammer

"???: Taylor Gilchrist: Good player but is just a stick insect compared to the rest of the blokes out there. If he can bulk up could be very good. Johnny Nash and Chris Axais are the best bets from year ten."

"sportz1: for mine taylor gilchrist for metro has come from nowhere and will be a good player.Huge kick plenty of speed and takes a great mark"

"ant555: Taylor Gilchrist – 189cm, 70kg – Sandringham Dragons / Caulfield Grammar.
Used mainly as a forward early in the year but has seen some action in defence in recent weeks. Tallish, skinny kid who has been played mainly on the flanks or in a pocket. His pace is pretty good and his running from half back has been a feature of his defensive play when used there. He reads the play pretty well and he gets to a lot of contests to help out. His kicking is generally good and is handball is very effective.
Pretty handy utility player. Not sure where to put him in the draft, maybe mid third round or later."

"smilingassasin6/Beats: sPick 49: Hawthorn: Taylor Gilchrist: A very handy utility, doesn’t have a set place on the field but will probably be able to develop either forward or back while playing in the vfl."

Tom Hill - (KPF) 7 April 1991, 198cm 79kg. Northern/Preston Bullants

"Nicko4: Hill is predominantly a key forward who scored six goals for Vic Metro at the 2007 NAB AFL Under-16 Championships. He averaged 13 disposals, five marks and three inside 50s per game at the carnival, and also totalled 4 score assists in the three matches. He had elite disposal efficiency of 82% and was strong overhead with a total of five contested marks."

"Sportz1: Hill. He's a big show to, tall bloke but an ordinary kick although at the u/16's carnival he kicked some great goals . Good strong mark and ok speed wise . He will be on a few radars already but will have to develop like most big blokes but at a young age he is going well for a big bloke .Possible 08 but they like to take big blokes later because they take so long to develop. I suppose it will depend on his development this year . He's in the AIS squad so should help."

"ravadongon: Hill – very nice burst of speed/turn of pace. Took a couple of nice grabs and can lay a fair tackle too. Played with very good intensity. Looking forward to seeing more of him play."

"Realistic Tiger: Tom Hill - 196cm key forward from Northern Knights (Cotchin & Hurley's teammate). Scored 6 goals in the U/16 Championships last year where he averaged 13 disposals 5 marks and 3 Inside 50's. Has an elite disposal efficiency of 82% and knows how to take contested marks as he took 5 in 3 games for the championships."

"stephen22: If im right i think this is the last draft in which you can pick up an underage player (17 year old). A bloke in the Knights team who is also in the AIS, Tom Hill would be a great pick-up for us blues. Haven't seen his name around much this year because of an injury but he is 195-200 cm, very skillful with a great leap. Not a ruckmen but a CHF. Anyone rekon he'll go in this years draft, or heard of him?"

"michael7: ^^^ Yeah I've heard of him but not for over a month when Bourkey said that he would go about the late teens or early 20's and then the other day someone said he'll be lucky to even get drafted and might end up on a rookie list, I was hoping Essendon would take a mid and then Hill with their second pick but now I'm leaning towards Hurley 1st and a classy mid second."

"Gilly1972: I like Tom Hill, he has good pace and mobility for 198cm, nice leap and relatively soft hands. Still very sleight and skinny but he has a good build and a frame that looks like it will put on some muscle without compromising too much of his pace/mobility. I've only seen him a couple of times so I don't have as much to go on as others. He is bottom aged and 12 months behind Vickery development wise, but I think he shows enough that he has the potential to possibly go past him in time. Being bottom aged, you'd largely be picking on upside and might be more of a risk in that respect, but if he has the work ethic and desire to make it I see him being AFL quality. Will be interested to see how he tests at DC, but from what (little) I've seen I think he has potential as a Ryder-type tall KP, but will be more than handy pinch-hitting in the ruck as well. Could creep into the first round or early second round. I dare say our scouts have seen him a few more times than I."

Bart McCulloch - (R) 23 September 1990, 198cm 83kg. Tas/South Launceston

"Jason McCartney: Bart McCulloch - He didn't have a super game, but he continued to impress. He kicked three goals from limited opportunities and played a lone hand up forward and in the ruck because Aaron Cornelius didn't have the greatest game against South Australia. Bart ended up being the main target and his mobility at 198cm - you'd think he'd have a pretty bright future."

"HFF 07: BART MCULLOCH 198cm 83kg RUCK/UTILITY South Launceston
Ruckmen/utility player from Tasmania, had an ok championships and was very mobile for a big man, tap work leaves alot to be desired for, but works hard all day, works around the ground nicely for a big bloke and could become a handy AFL player.
PROS: - Mobile, Agile, Work rate, Marking,
CONS: - Undersized for ruck, Skinny,
PREDICTION: 50 - 80"

"ant555: Bart McCulloch – 198cm, 83kg – South Launceston.
Ruckman from Tasmania who had a pretty good champ series. He has a bit to work on in his tap work but he sticks with the job and wears opponents down. He has good pace for a tall and can find the ball around the ground. His kicking could use some more consistency but overall his skills are pretty good. Can take a good mark and does not mind going for a run with the ball. Athletically he is very good. Being 198cm he was a bit undersized for the ruck but clubs will see potential for him to play in other areas.
Possible selection some time after the third round."

"Jason McCartney: Bart McCulloch - Bart didn't get a lot against the Territory but I was impressed with him in game one. He has good agility for a big bloke and makes good decisions. He could be okay."

"Quigley: McCulloch – was not very impressive when he was playing up forward. When he moved into the ruck though the extent of his athleticism was there for all to see. He is excellent around the ground and his disposal is good. His ruck work though needs work."

Sam Wright - (F / OM) 15 July 1990, 188cm 76kg. VicC/Murry Bushrangers/Katamatite

"foj1:: 40. Sam Wright 188cm 76kg Vic Country
Tallish flanker type who can do the freakish on the footy field. Looks a little like Dale Thomas and looks to have based some of his game on him however he needs to be far more consistent with his footy. Steve Johnson and Dale Thomas have shown there is a place for the flashy half forward and Wright may have the tools to get to the big show."

"ant555: Sam Wright – 188cm, 76kg – Murray Bushrangers.
Half back, half forward or midfielder with ok pace. Has good defensive skills and loves to run from half back when used in that role. Has had some games where he has been used as a key forward and has responded well by kicking 4 or 5 goals. Takes lots of marks. His kicking has been average as a whole but he has had games where he has hardly missed a target. Versatile player who seems best suited to half forward or half back.
Good chance somewhere after the fourth round."

"1Mitch1: Sam Wright- Vic country top aged player, 188 cm and 76 kg. For some reason didnt play at all for Vic country this season although he made the squad. Dominated last season for the Murray Bushrangers and at one stage kicked bags of 5,6,7,5 in four weeks of TAC cup football which for a bottom ager is incredible. Unfortunately hasnt improved at all from last season. Has amazing hands and gets a lot of ball for a half forward player and i compare him to Dale Thomas which is a huge statement but Sam has a lot of talent. Is deadly straight when kicking at goal. 55 +"

Charlie Sharples - (F) 16 February 1989, 188cm 81kg. Sturt

"Quigley: Sharples – DOB 19/2/89 Ht 180 Wt 67 had some impressive moments and was one of the best for the Territory. Extremely light at this stage."

"foj1: 46. Charlie Sharples 180cm 74kg NT
19 year old who has been playing in the SANFL. Always known for possessing a lot of natural talent, Sharples is beginning to turn potential into results. I still think he needs to work harder on his defensive game but talent and improvement might get him over the line this year."

"peterburgoyne-07: As for clubs interest in Charlie, there are a few that have shown interest. Obviously there is Hawthorn but their interest was more last year but everone knows the story there. The other clubs that have shown a fair bit of interest are Melbourne and Adelaide. There maybe others but as yet I think these are the only two clubs that have contacted Charlies management. Hopefully a few others will as well because I think this kid has something special!"

"gimmiethat: Charlie Sharples has had an awesome year to date. Has improved out of sight from last year.
His form for Sturt earnt him a spot on the SANFL team which played the VFL team at Adelaide Oval this year. He was one of two teenagers from memory selected to represent the SANFL along with Nick Wark from Sturt.
The last two weeks have been disappointing for Charlie but only as the result of administrative reasons. In the game v. Eagles he was forced to miss three quarters due to Sturt's manager incorrectly submitting an incorrect team list. He still picked up like 10 possessions in the last quarter when allowed to play. Against Glenelg, as alluded to by Burgoyne7, Charlie was forced to miss most of the game due to a blood rule infringement.
Charlie was also outstanding for the Northern Territory at the U/18 championships. I believe he was amongst their best in all three games.
I have been following Charlie's progress for some time and he is a real fan favourite at Sturt. Many in the know consider him the best young prospect in the SANFL at the moment. He has outplayed AFL listed players such as Marlon Motlop, Jacky, etc consistently this season. Even non-Sturt fans acknowledge as much. Some Adelaide Crows fans i have spoken to rate Charlie so highly that they say that Charlie would be getting AFL games at the moment if on the Crows list as he is a better player at present than Petrenko and Jacky.
Lets hope the Crows pick him up. A Tippett/Sharples forward line combo would set-up a very exciting future for the Crows!!"

"ROYAL EAGLE:This guy will go anywhere between 25 to 40 in the draft and i think is perfect for us. He looks a little bigger than he is, is lightning quick great tackler and has xfactor.
Take a look at his highlights and tell us what you think, would be ready round 1 to play next year.
Lots of man love here.

"[U}unvbelievacow:[/U] Video is SANFL v VFL (not u18s).
Will be 20 in Feb next year (DOB 16/02/89). He nominated for the draft last year and was obviously overlooked.
Lack of speed is killing us at the moment. Other teams are confidently and successfully taking us on with run and bounce. Need to put doubt into the opposition and the only way you can do that is to have players that can run them down. Not sure if Sharples is the answer, I have only seen the youtube videos so I can't really make an assessment, but if he's got a good attitude then deficiencies can be overcome and his speed could be a major asset. Might be worth a gamble with a late draft pick or perhaps rookie-list."

"Royal Eagle: Hawthorn where going to draft him last year, bur clarko told him he needed to be fitter and they drafted another aboriginal boy with there pick.(not rioli)
Has moved to South Australia this year is from northern territory and has got alot fitter and has being playing each week in the SANFL seniors for Sturt which is a much better competition than the WAFL.
He has worked alot harded in the sturt gym and has put on some more muscle this year.
Because NT didn't make the main national championships as dropped back in the rankings I know that Adelaide and Hawthorn are interested in him for a late 3rd or early 4th round pick.
He would be terrific for us I could see him playing in a back pocket or foward with a Wirra to mentor him could be just what we need."

"ant555: Charlie Sharples – 180cm, 74kg – Darwin.
Really nice mover with pretty good pace. Can find plenty of the ball and is very good around the half forward/ offensive side of the square. He works hard and is prepared to have a go. His downfall is his kicking which can be very ordinary.
Is probably only on the fringe of being picked up mainly because of his poor kicking."

"Quigley: Sharples – combined well with Rolfe and got quite a lot of the ball. Sharples is a smooth mover and has that glide around the field that makes you think he is a footballer. He is thin but not skinny and has reasonable but not great height for a mid / flanker. What he does very well is work forward and take marks inside 50 and kick goals. He looked very dangerous when he was given licence to work into the forward line. What is going to really count against him though come draft day is the fact that he is a very ordinary kick with every second kick being a mongrel. His kicking for goal is better than his field kicking but he struggles from 50."

Daniel Hanneberry - (OM) 24 February 1991, 182cm 75kg. VicM/Oakleigh Chargers/Xavier College

"mainboardboycotter: Hannebury is clearly the best year 10 in the APS, anyone who says otherwise is deluded, he was BOG for every year 9A game played last year, that just shows how skilled he is, will be a good player at First level this year and will dominate in year 11 and 12"

"Davo#5: Hannebery is the complete player."

"???: Unfortunately for the doggies, his old man only played 32 games for them - otherwise he could go father and son. He is already 6ft at Yr 10 and according to the Xavier link was first in the 1km time trial at Xavier."

"foj1:: 38. Daniel Hanneberry 182cm 75cm Vic Metro
Silky skilled mover who plays predominantly wing/ midfield. Reads the play well and is adept at getting a stack of the footy. Hanneberry is bottom aged and will get stronger and continue to build his tank. Also has had limited exposure to TAC footy due to Private school footy. Will be interesting to see if he nominates for the draft."

"ant555: Dan Hannebery -182cm, 75kg –Oakleigh Chargers / Xavier College.
Yet another 17 year old. Has played a variety of roles from midfield to small defender. Reads the game very well and has a knack of finding space and finding the ball. Pace is reasonable. Clearance work is pretty good. Skill wise he can be a bit up and down. His tackling is pretty good.
Will be some sort of chace to be drafted."

"Vinnie Vegas69: Daniel Hannebery, a potential 1st round draft pick playing with the Oakleigh Chargers, is the son of Mark Hannebery, who played 61 games for Collingwood."

"Jimmy is a King: Dan Hanneberry
******** gun player. Has the skills, no question there, high marking ability, can play midfield, off half back and go forward and kick some freak goals.
A massive tank, would not be surprised if he wins beep test at draft camp.
Will go top 10 in 09 i would imagine. Better than Scully, but in the same mould, better footy smarts and marking than Scully though.
Has played Oakleigh around 4-5 times with all times being in the best, including 3 best ons, all while being bottom age.
Destined for greatness. Hopefully at the bombers!"
"Bourky23: hahaha you're having a laugh surely? Scully, Lucas and Butcher are the top 3 prospects at this stage... and besides, Hannebery will get picked up this year in late 2nd round or early 3rd.. expect a lot of bottom age kids who are eligible to get picked up this year... teams won't be passing on picks with concessions coming in soon thats for certain.. teams will use their 5th and 6th round picks instead of passing on them like usual"
