I am a Carlton supporter and dropped in to comment on Ablett. Find him to be a great inspiration as much for his humility as his brilliance as a player. Watched the game and was so impressed with his skill and composure in a game that I felt lacked in skill mostly due to Hawthorns negative tactics. Having said this felt Dew was also very sharp with his composure and skill.
Anyway felt that of all the people on the ground Gary should be the most proud of his efforts. He to my mind was much more of a winner in how he played the game than the majority of his Hawthorn counterparts.
Although I genuinely believe this is another circumstance that will give him more drive to be a better player in 09' and help the team to the premiership
And to see all these comments about Gary crying and people saying it was because he didnt get the Norm Smith shows how clueless some people are on this forum.
He did his family name proud and played one of the best Grand Final performances I have seen, played the ball all day and won balls on pure determination in packs.
