'Hey,' he asks me, 'If I get McPhee in the backline but he plays up forward, do I still get his points?'

Other notable blunders include him using his last trade several years back to trade Hasleby to Marty Clarke (leaving him with some $200,000 in the bank)...and this year trading Adcock to Wojcinski after the former scored a 'crap' score of 80.

Anyone else have any rookie stories to share?

The "important threads that people actually want to read" are posted regularly in so are almost always on the first page and near the top.

It's only people like you that complain about threads that you deem to be useless and post in them that ensure that the threads that people actually want to read get pushed down the page and into the next pages.

If you didn't complain so much in this thread I'm guessing not many people would post in it, meaning it would fall to the bottom of the page and maybe onto the next page, resulting in the "important threads that people actually want to read" being at the top of the page.
