My grandparents were saints supporters in the very early days of the VFL as is my father so naturally I was too. Success or lack of it has nothing to do with it. It's called loyalty and I don't regret a minute of it.

I wouldn't want to look at the Sydney equivalent.

It's really nothing to be too proud about for the Saints. We've been crap since 2002.- For a number of years there were heaps of clubs we couldn't beat. The shoe's been on the other foot plenty of times over history.

But I will add, during that period we seemed to save our worst for St Kilda. Thankfully that didn't happen this year. St Kilda were took good. Took their chances, and we blew ours. And as far as saving our worst goes these days, that mantle is with Essendon.

Living in the past i see. Yes we are the most unsuccesful team in history, and it hurts, yet the fact is it's 2009, St Kilda is 12 from 12, Carlton are 6 from 12. You are a good team and will be a very good team in one or two years, there is no doubting that, no need to call on the past though, face the facts, at the moment St Kilda is a superior side.
