We really are the land of the giants tonight. If Charlie comes out late, then Carroll would make the most sense as his

replacement. Seems pretty likely to me.

Some fun facts before tonight. Not sure if they mean much but whatever.

This is our 5th MCG game of the year.
Stk - 1st game at MCG. Only play 1 to 2 games a year there. Their last game at MCG was R11 last year and lost to Melbourne by 38 points.
Our last game at the G, we beat Geelong 2 weeks ago 😎

Carlton haven't played Stk at MCG since R22 2023. Last 6 games have all been at Marvel and imo Stk are much more dangerous at Marvel than the MCG. We will see soon enough.

Oh, and Harry McKay hasn't played against them since 2023 either, so hopefully that's a positive difference.

Take from that what you will
(if anything 🤣)

It's their so called 'Marquee' game and are expecting around 70K tonight according to their Board.

Norf are higher in attendances so far this year :tearsofjoy:

We really have no excuses, even if we are missing a few key personnel.

The Pies just rested 4 players (and missing a few more) and still went over and smashed Freo after coming off a 5 day break. Its because they play to a system and the next man up comes in and does their job.

Hopefully we can start to get some continuity like that into our game (though I'm doubtful as we always seem to rely on the same few).

Difference is we are not Collingwood and we are not in the same Leaque when it comes to successfully running a football club

IMO, I think Evans gives us more as a forward than Fogarty. They both bring pressure and Evans adds more in scoring.
I would like us to try Fogarty as a small BP, use his defensive pressure to lock down a higgins or butler, a hill or elliot.

Young will play as a forward tonight as a lockdown role on Wilkie - if we curb the influence of Wanganeen Millera and Sinclair it will go a long way to wining.

seeing jsos on the bench makes me think we're ready to pull him out of the team if his hand is not up to scratch after 1 week away. wild speculation.

forgot this was on a friday, first chance seeing live for a while.

hope any newcomer isn't dropped after playing as the sub for 1 week.

Does it really matter where he's listed. I'm sure his dad knows if he's playing or not and that intel would be passed through.

I like this, just because Fog has never played in defense. Does not mean he cannot perform well in this role. Always liked

Fog, heart and soul player for sure. Problem with him is he has endured so many injuries, I think he really battles to get his

body right.

Other issue is - he’s never been a goal kicker. Big problem for a small forward.
