Black is probably the best in close in that list, obviously. But at the same time, that aspect of Buckley's game was under rated. He came into the AFL with that aspect of his game lacking, so it was difficult for him to shake off that reputation. His inside game developed superbly.Black is only ahead by one spot. Black is phenomenal in close, one of the best decision makers I have seen. Buckley probably had better skills, but Black just always seems to have a lot of time and space to execute.

Buckley had better skills for sure, both feet, perfect disposal. His kicking technique is unrivaled. Black probably has better handballing skills though.
Also, Buckley had the ability to play a KP role at either end at an elite level, something which Black isn't able to do.
Black's decision making, composure etc is obviously superb, but I can't see how it can be put on a level above Buckley's.
