The Guineas looks a match race between the 2 class runners, Kidnapped & Majestic Music.

Distinct lack of speed in the Classic, Zarita should get a soft lead. My money will be on the 2 lightly raced mares, Miss Maren & Purple, outsprinting the older stayers.

At this stage my best for the day would be Falaise in the Heffernan. Lucky Secret won't run a place.

I like my bber Khas Kura :thumbsu:

Edit: Also noticed Anne McGrath doesn't train Tears I Cry now. Might actually do something!!

I'll be on Scenic Shot in the Classic.

NJ, agree with you re. Falaise. Efforts this prep have been very good. Beware of Posadas!!

Sound Of Nature will be very hard to beat in Race 8, as will Flying Tessie in the last.

Pretty good & even field in the Classic this year.

Purple is the interesting runner for mine - should still be on the improve, whereas most of the others have hit their peak this prep.

Would like to see Master O win, as he's been extremely competitive in top company without winning for a couple of years now.

Pfft. They don't pay out on competitive. I'm done with Master O running a fast finishing fourth. lol. Watch him go out and sweep to victory now that i've potted him. :D

Yeah Tears I Cry now trained by David Bourke best known for training ... let's see Will D'Or a picnic galloper going around at Healesville Saturday wonder where David will go ?? Has had 5 starters for 2009 and none before that since 2001. Interesting we might get to see Tears I Cry at the Picnics with 80 on his back that would be something.
I know it's been said before but why this horse left Ciaron Maher after winning a group 1 is beyond me. And no not to go to a bigger city stable it went to the owners stable. Everytime I see this horse in I just think of missed potential. Anyway thats my rant can't help myself on this subject.
Can't see him winning this

I reckon its great for a laugh. Atleast this bloke might have a semi decent idea. Would love to know why it left Maher. He seems like he knows what to do!

Yeah it is very amusing - maybe she hated parting with the 60k or so she would have had to give to Maher after he won the emirates and thought stuff it i'll do it myself it can't be that hard :D
Anyway your spot on Rizzo good for a laugh and now up to his 3rd trainer this year after going from McGrath to Quinton Scott to McGrath to Bourke it's like bold and the beautiful ;)

I think Lucky Secret will win the sprint. Classes above these, he just needs to handle the track and not go out too hard. It's usually about now though that he packs it in with a stinker so I'm not gunna bother loading up.

Kidnapped in the Guineas. Obvious pick.

I'm gunna take a risk finally in the main one and go Zarita. In a race of WFA run on teases and Group 2 type mares, I reckon her best is good enough to win this.

Up in Sydney I really like Shatters, is ready to explode this weekend. Should be a good day for Snowden and the Sheik.

Iasbet have Lucky Secret at $1.85 fixed odds - for a horse that's never won beyond 1200m that is no value at all.
News Alert @ $5 looks the one on the up to me and the value.

My tips

R1 Rhyno Chaser
R2 Stirling Grove
R3 Spirited Halo tough race this one
R4 Husskila
R5 Diplomatic Force
R6 Silver Spur
R7 Master Oreilly only reason im backing him because backed him in the cup
R8 Walking Or Dancing/Nine Tales cant split them
R9 Danehill Smile ew good horse just need an ounce of luck

Quaddie 1,3,4,6,9/1,2,3/5,7,8/2,3,5,6,7,8,9,11

Goodluck fellas :thumbsu:

Kidnapped to make it three in a row. It brained them last start over 1600 and this is no harder.

Scenic Shot has to be in the finish on paper in the Classic. I doubt Morton would leave it in Melbourne if he didn't think it would be competitive.

I've done well out of Joku in Sydney like the $5.

anne magrath wanted all the fame after it won the emeriates and she thought it would be a walk in the park so she started training it.

Sandown

R1 - Tintern - heard from the same source who said Efficient might not make it to the cup that he was back firing, it then came out and blew my dough at the Valley. However at Flemington next start it was brilliant. Should beat this weak field, although O'Reillys Clock is building up to something (just the weight should kill him off).

R2 - Shaaheq - Shes Got Gears has franked the form now so is as good a bet as you will get in these types of races.

R3 - Snip Espirit - Fantastic run behind Ahdashim last start. Looks a good bet!

R4 - Europa Point - Ran a corker on Cup day against a well supported Guineas runner today and worth following.

R5 - Lucky Secret - should win, although he is a risk as his legs tend to go about this time each year with the harder tracks.

R6 - Kidnapped - mega impressive last start winner, I wouldnt leave the stablemate Khas Kura or Silver Spur out of quaddie though if you want to be safe.

R7 - Zarita # - going for value here as there doesn't appear to be any pace at all and they are basically all swoopers. She has reasonable WFA form, and I think if she can sit handy she will be in the finish. The jockeys tactics will win this race.

R8 - Ahdashim - I think he has a slight class edge on these, has been building up nicely this prep to peak and I'm very confident will win by a greater margin than last outing.

R9 - Rose Syrah* - absolute eye catcher on Cup day, I had been waiting for her to produce some form after a slow buildup, but she is very classy and the extra trip should suit. Good race but I'll take $5 any day she is in this up to her ears.

Rosehill

1 - 2 Blackball
2 - 1 Kossack
3 - 3 Strategic Impact
4 - 3 Dealers
5 - 9 Rubinda#
6 - 2 Le Me Adam
7 - 1 Shatters*
8 - 15 Kaunda

Ascot

1 - 4 Sealynx*
2 - 11 Smart Chance
3 - 14 Royal Devotion
4 - 5 Shock Value
5 - 5 Hay List
6 - 4 Roman Time
7 - 9 Foryoureyesonly#
8 - 6 Dvoryan

Me thinks it appropriate Anne McGrath receive her rightful official playing off.
